Max, Melli, Mika and Max Group tour from their home trails around Schloss Solitude near Stuttgart, Germany.

Trouble with the bike, one crash and people testing out the fatbike. Was a fun but very hot day of riding.

So, good morning. Today we are in beautiful I’m going to say sto garden. They’re going to tell me it’s wrong.
So, we have Malie. Hello. And Max and Ma. And where are we going today?
She lost solitude and ride the local trails around there. connecting trail shortcut. Oh no. I make my gloves on. Yeah. Look what he did.
Oh, so then elbow gust too.
So it gets loose. What is now? Downhill.
Downhill.
Downhill. Back to the left.
Mhm. Nothing too crazy in there. You
ready to roll? Okay.
Do we let the boys go first?
No, I follow you.
Okay.
Okay.
For video purposes.
You just want to look at my bum.
Well, that’s true.
Risk is loose. Max versus Max. Woo. That was nice. Hey, he’s fast. Found your palm trails. Oh, sorry. Oh, oh, it’s so dusty behind you. God, this wheel. Wish I had my other helmet. Woo! Well, that was quiet. That was the wrong jump. The first one was good. The second I was too slow. Well, that’s wrong. It’s the wrong [ __ ] Oh, [ __ ] My feet keep moving. God, he’s fast. Oh Bert, I believe I have found you. Heaven up make his specialtity. It’s just a shortcut to the next road. Uhhuh. through trail. You can see the straight line back there in the north. There’s the bigger castle in Lutriport. And they built a straight line between the two castles.
Wow. because that’s like the weekend residency
and the main residency is down in Luxburg.
So,
oh
I show you the castle people castle and
so beautiful. So that’s the road we were paddling along pretty much when we were at the highest point. So that’s the ridge. So whenever you don’t want to go, it’s 10 minutes pedal.
Bear is that way. He’s saying when you had enough of climbing with him, bear is that way. So, now we have the two official trails down here and then we go back towards the castle.
Mhm.
But if you would be crazy, you could do like 2,000 vertical meters climbing total. You could just go like 2 km that way
and then there’s lots of trails going down to
Stoutgart as well and you could do that in one big loop.
Yeah. It’s pretty crazy. We go down that really nice trail and you only climb up 200 m.
Yeah.
To get to the top. Yes.
And it’s actually pretty riders. So okay. We go do the upper part twice now.
Okay. First time I lead you and next time I do with Melly and you can charge ahead.
Is this tricky one?
No, it’s a flowy trail. Fast trail. There’s one big pull.
Do you want to make it tricky? We switch bikes. We can try.
We have even have the same shoes.
Yeah, I know.
He wants to try a skinny bike. Oh my gosh.
Skinny bike. It’s been a while. But the problem is my old seat post is broken and this doesn’t go much down. So
yeah, it’s all right. The boys are playing bike swap.
Okay.
M wants to go skinny.
I want to try. It’s been a while.
Okay. So I’m skipping the gaps now, I believe. Wonderful. Yeah, we’ll go.
You can speak German to them. We are in Germany. Fish. Yes. It’s like doing this. Oops. Okay, he’s going to skip the gaps. Oh, this is like a great crazy Hang it. Focus so bad. Woo! That was cool. Wow. Okay. Wow. Woo! So amazing. Make it time. Oh, tree. There’s a tree on the end of that. [ __ ] me. And this bike is so much work. So heavy. So scared. Luckily the brakes are really good.
Okay. He’s scared and he says the bike is still heavy. And he jumps everything. At least your front end isn’t cracking like mine. It’s really close.
I saw you uh jump the thing. I don’t think [ __ ] Can I jump it with this? But then Oh, [ __ ] No. Oh, so Piggy, you go back to your own. Yeah. And she confused me when we hit the first crazy bumpy stuff. It was like, what the hell? But it’s so slippery even with the big tires. Yeah. These tires are not very cool. This one’s more straight.
Okay. Some paddling in between and some more roots and rocks.
Okay.
But nothing crazy.
Okay. survive. Okay. Who wants to go first?
You.
You know the trail.
You want to go next?
You go. I’m used to looking at your right.
Uhhuh. Woo! Another crazy line there. Oh. Oh. All right. You Damn. Heat. Yeah. High five. Woo. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Oh. It’s come on next. It’s me. Come on. Oh, it’s getting really quite scary. Yo, I’m making a lot of stuff. My headset’s actually moving.
Really? Yeah. This is [ __ ] scary. Put your hand on there.
You feel it here? Yeah. It’s need to be tight. Why do I have it in my Yeah. a bit scary mechanical. The stem is so funny.
It is really weird, but it looks nice. Yeah, between the coming off the pedals and the front moving, it’s really kicking the back. Oh, we just put it on top.
Oh, is it tool?
Yeah, but that stack is crazy high. I think it’s safer this way. That’s the short. So, yeah, put it like this. That should work. Way better. Maybe start to touch more. I think that’s it. your um hand bar is now one centimeter more down. So
one cm. Okay.
But you still have a lot of stack. So
when you’re a girl, you just make a boys please help me. Tada. So, let’s go riding. Thank you, Max. Thank you, Melly Mcca. Let’s go riding. We’ll ride for pizza with the name. That’s so cool. Wonder if I’ll notice the the different in height.
It’s not much. It’s not this much. It’s even less.
Okay. It’ll be half that one. Yeah. Like a half a cime.
It’ll be more confidence inspiring because you have a quiet bike now.
The main difference, which means I can go faster.
Uhoh. Uh-oh. I I might be able to actually see your back wheel.
Okay.
And and
I can’t cuz it’s so dusty behind the big fat wheel. Okay. It doesn’t make noise. Oh my god. This is lic. I can actually feel it’s lower. It sounds strange, but I can feel she’s lower.
Yeah.
No sound.
No sound. Just me. It’s roughly 30° maybe 400 meter up or 15 kilometers. It’s very warm. But trails are really cool. Really uh nice trails to go down and a bit of a short up to come back up. Now we’re on to our next lap. See how we go. Where are we going? Supposedly that way. But I think we take a little deep work there. Okay. So, we follow along the trees. There should be a wrong gear. Ah. Huh? Daniel vice ch downhill. for gang. It’s downhill yog. There’s somebody walking in the trail. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Oh, don’t look down. Yeah. Okay. W K. Woo. Oh, there’s the fork still cracks. But it’s not moving like before. The fork still cracks.
Oh, really?
Yeah. Really?
Maybe the bad news would be all that would have broken the headset. Yeah. Super. Oh, cool. Broken headset. Go.
Nice.
Nice. I keep hitting my big head to the leaves. Put point your head down. Look. He He’s collecting. See clicking that trail is also kind of faster. Hardest bit out of like the first 30 m before you hit a compression here with some roots. After that it’s more chill. Let’s send it. Yeah, I know. Oh, seven. Ah, wrong line. That was funny. Wow, that wasn’t expecting. Come on, honey. Let’s go. Nope. It’s a [ __ ] when you don’t jump the gaps. They really chase it. Woo. It’s a funny trail when you don’t make the jump and if you you just case it
or you don’t do the gaps,
it takes all your speed.
Yeah. Yeah.
Fun. Two minute pedal to the next one. You think that’s correct? Trail time and nistle time. This is a fast and flowy one. You can roll everything, but you can double some of the rollers.
Okay, wait. I put in a higher gear to start with this time. Maybe I have a chance to stay with you. By change in the trail, my foot comes from the pedal as [ __ ] Ready, steady, good. I can’t help. What is wrong with him? Shaoo. Oh man, let’s keep moving. No water. What else? That was [ __ ] I was behind you until I lost the pedal and then you’re gone. That’s really funny.
[ __ ]
I didn’t even pedal.
I start to pedal and foot gone. Super. And then I go over the lumps with no pedal. One foot like this.
I’m halfway up the climb. It’s over 30°. It’s very hot, but I’m doing it. Tires are very cool, very dusty, and I keep losing my pedals. And I learned now that the middle of my pedal is too high. So, my pins aren’t actually going in my shoes. But, okay, it’s fun. So, it’s a nice place. It’s really a nice place.
We’re going for ice cream. She said, “I’m I’m head for that.” And I love the wind
today. I love the wind. Up, up, up, and away to the castle. These two have legs of steel. So amazing. Wow. So, I take the girls way, you can take the boys way. Wow. Very cool.
Yeah. And it’s right at our door. I think uh Piggy has made a new friend. I’m a spanking.
Yeah, this is [Music] Imagine if you had that in your house. Yeah, we had similar things. You started to hide them. flying crutch. Joking. Yeah, I have a I have an old swirly fat bike. Ah, I’ve been reading it riding it. So, but it’s hard to tell.
Yeah. Yeah. Like it’s a full rigid.
Yeah. Oh, the with no fork at all.
Yeah.
Oh, cool. I have one, too. I have a a Canyon dude. Yeah, she’s I have six. So,
this is This is Connie. This is my race bike.
It’s beautiful.
And uh it’s built for me by Max Bikes.
Um this one I race enduro one in Germany this year on
I’m currently winning. And you race is this special fat bike? No, it’s an enduro race and I’m just there with my fat bike and proving that I’m faster. Good.
It’s really funny. And I have a Fosmutz. Um, she was I raced her last year in Finland just for fun. But to me, she’s more downhill bike because this is this here is designed for enduro riding. So you ride can ride up comfortably. And the FO is back a little bit further. You get a bit of a soul back riding her up. And it’s got this is the 26 uh in wheels and my FO has the 27in wheels like he has.
Oh,
and that’s he races that hard tail. And I have uh of course this is an E and we have the from his company uh from this Marino company our own fat bikes um built for Marino bikes. It’s a crocodile parking for bikes. Okay, is an S. I think this is eclipseless. December. [Applause] [Laughter] really too tall for it. Yeah. No, you have a tractor connected Uber Alice.
Yeah. So is Connie. Yeah. So fully gravel [Music] That’s a [Music] Yeah. [Music] Ice cream time. Ice cream. So, back up at the castle after ice cream. Now we ride back to more trails. The sun is very hot, but the trails are so good. Good lord. Hope it’s just the footer trail.
No, it’s it’s not crazy, but it’s like in the Alp you shouldn’t fall to the left. So, trail walking. before he kills us. You have a dick on your head. You forget to everything. Yep. Oh, fun.
Okay. So, it’s just along the edge. So, don’t ride too far to the left. Pretty easy. Okay. But I just wanted to let you know.
Tricky when it’s wet.
Yes, it is. Especially that root already.
The rest is all rollable. Not too steep.
Ridable. Cliff riding. Oh, what was that? That was a bit of a crazy Oh, that is crazy. Woo. Oh, tape down. Woo. That’s a mega drop at the bottom. There’s a mega drop at the bottom, but I didn’t do it.
Oh, I almost fell down.
If you’re going flat out, that’s a nice jump.
Yeah. And then there’s another one to the right.
Yeah, I saw that, too.
I haven’t hit it yet. And then it was destroyed, but seems like they’re rebuilding it at the moment to the entire trail. So, I’m excited.
Mhm. Yeah. You first go, “Oh, I’m on an edge.” Yeah. I always went down cuz I hit my hand to a tree.
Oh, no.
Yeah. It’s tight. Like in the Alps, you don’t want Oh, you hit your hand on a tree.
Yeah. And then
Oh, okay.
Yeah. Recording stopped.
Oh, it’s full.
Yeah. So
now it’s a bit of roller coaster, but we’re almost done.
Roller coaster is fun. I was joking. Okay. Oh, it’s ended. That was really fun. Now we’re at the bottom. Now we go check out the crazy crazy trail. Uh, but he say we don’t drive this, so maybe I’m thankful. Holy [ __ ] down there. Berm avoid the hole and then you have to get the catch berm to the left.
Bons I I I understand. Wow. You have to drive that down. There’s the jump.
If you finish with your life, I want to try.
It would go. It would go. You would You would You could be on the brakes. You could be on the brakes here. Yes. But that loose stuff you have to that loose stuff is where you have to let your brakes open to jump off the jump. But you don’t know.
No, it’s too fast. And you have to clean out that loose stuff so that you can break before the jump.
So yeah. And the red with the the the stump on it.
Yeah.
Y.
It’s a crazy one.
When you do it, make sure you’ve got a camera down the bottom so I can send it to me. Then I can see you’ve done it.
Hello.
I I turn it a little bit. It’s not on now.
It is on.
It’s flashing. It’s recording.
It’s more steep and straight down
and Once it’s getting really steep, like 1 meter into a hole.
Yeah.
And there’s a fallen tree and you have to ride up the trunk pretty much. So it’s steep and you have to let go of the brakes early enough so that you just make it through that awkward bump. So it’s like that high where you have to roll back up.
So when you do think you press.
No. It’s very steep. Down.
Yep. Oh [ __ ] Wrong way. Oh, it’s a really tricky one looking.
I think you can go right side. Chicken line.
Yes.
Okay, I try that first.
Roll out of the hole. Just stay on the bra. Okay, that was not the cool line. Yeah, don’t take the chicken line. It was no creep at all. I think I broke this tree. No, it’s okay. because it’s full.
Yeah, I was afraid you lost it.
No, I have hit it so many times today on a tree.
You can take both line. I’m going straight.
Me, too. Let’s go. There’s enough doom. 850 her and 30° plus 35 km with Max. Thank you so much for the tour. Was awesome. We ride down this really steep, crazy bit. It was awesome. Very dusty. Sing.
