L china bars…… Fyi this happened to my bikedoc bars torqued to 2,5nm on a specialized comp multi stem. It doesn’t only depend on the torque but also the stems. Specialized was a tiny bit undersized, I was also able to torque a replacement bar on a pro plt stem to 8nm no problem.

Dismantle and look closely. So it is rather bad to judge. Is it scratches, dust, dirt? 🤔

I’ve seen some wildly overtightened bars but that’s something else. Is this an oversized bar jammed into a standard or something?

Seems done to me. A torque wrench may be a wise investment
Yeah, that looks very dead. I’ve ridden all sorts of horrible bikes, but would not ride that.
