First Bike Day

Getting a mountain bike and starting this sport has been a dream of mine for a long time. I have finally bought my first bike. I am yet to go on my first proper ride, if you have any tips/advice for a new rider it would be highly appreciated.

I already bought the helmet, shoes, padded shorts. Is there anything else I need to get?
