This was definitely the best trip of my life, and the longest tour I’ve done. It took me 54 days out of which around 33 days of cycling. The total was around 2100-2400km (I did not keep track). I’m not a gear snob – my Kona rove al 650 served me nicely, some cheap panniers from decathlon and a Vango tent. This is the footage I’ve got from the trip which I’m excited to finally share. I highly recommend doing this route, especially in summer as the weather in the northern countries is pretty pleasant. My high points (figuratively and literally) from the trip are the High Alpine Road and the Gerianger fjord.
Perhaps this should be another post – but I am also looking to do a Balkans tour this summer, and would welcome any recommendations for Bosnia and Montenegro.

You went through Grossglockner road, that was brave 🙂
I also cycled throgh Gerianger fjord and then climbed over Djupvatnet which was amazing!
