Here is my current setup! A lot of people in the X-Max groups on Facebook have been very helpful. I’ve since made a few more upgrades, which I’ll make another post about in the future.

Touring from Europe to South Africa with my X-Max 300! Anything is possible, and I’m here to prove it.

hey guys i just wanted to share with you my current setup with my x-maxx i’m here in morocco now and i’m on a really long road trip all the way to south africa but i wanted to share you guys have been really helpful in this group and i wanted to share my current setup so i’ve got the 2024 x-maxx and a lot of things from aliexpress so first thing i did this one is like a kappa windshield i’m not sure i like it so much but uh it it keeps the wind out it’s like a subser of gi so um so it’s pretty pretty good then i’ve got uh these these handguards which were from aliexpress they look exactly like the original ones and a gps here which is also connected to these these cameras here i’ve got one on the front and then one here on the back as well i’ve got extension here for my camera and these are the extra lights it’s a light switch for extra lights i got this is the crash bar i find on aliexpress it came with these foot plates also so it hooks in pretty nice but it’s quite small i’ve seen they make bigger ones in in asia and things but it was the best one i could find to order to europe um i have also another for my insta 360 camera another ex extension point and these are the lights i got very cheap like five euros from aliexpress and then here is this was also from aliexpress it’s like a side protector exact copy of the ones they make by yamaha and what else do i have that’s pretty much it oh i got this kind of scratched up so i put this little extra exhaust cover on which looks all right but keeps it protected a little bit more and the most important one i got this upgraded suspension both in the back and the front and this was from a company in thailand called yss which is a really good deal i think it’s like just a couple hundred bucks even less if you bought it there in thailand and then i also did the front the front one but you can’t see it’s like inside there and oh and then this one i have like a mud cover that goes on the back wheel to give it a little bit look and keep it clean underneath there and i also use these saddle bags that just kind of hang over the side and so i put these little protector things to kind of keep some scratches away but hasn’t been helping so much and i want to find a solution to put uh my saddle bags more fixed but i haven’t found a welder or anyone that can do that for me yet cuz it’s like a custom job so normally i carry one one bag here on the back and then two saddle bags on each side i’ll just open here oops and then the last thing i did is i got this like a felt kind of covering that goes fits like exact it was like not that good to be honest but uh i don’t know it keeps it kind of it it loses a little bit space cuz normally i keep this very full so you do lose a few like centm in space but i don’t know eventually i’ll probably take that off cuz it’s like falling apart has like a little pocket in there and i put these these side pockets on with velcro so yeah that is my setup eventually i want to change the windshield to get the proper yamaha one and put better crash bars when i go to asia which will be after i finish africa so just trying to prove to people you can you can go touring on a maxi scooter it doesn’t have to be a big

  1. I have the windshield from Givi. Mine is mounted as crooked as yours. There is more space above the blinker on the right-hand side. That totally annoys me. The windscreens are probably all crooked.
