Well, then it’s a surprise for you. Yeah, we had everything settled and then we discovered that the camera doesn’t have an SD card, you know, in this hot. We had to go up again the stairs and down. Oh, man. while all you want to do is just sit on the bike and go to catch this breeze. Because guys, it is hot and it’s supposed to get even crazier later this week up to above the 30s. This is not weather that you should be walking into. This is weather you have to be uh you know biking into. Yeah. Or in your car with an air conditioning.
Yeah. or just at home in your air conditioning,
eating ice cream. Eating ice creams. Yeah. And making slushies, that kind of weather. Okay. So, today is Sunday the 29th of June. It’s 9:28 in the morning. Um, [Music] and we just got the bikes from the parking and today supposed to be around 24 25 Celsius. Yeah. So, that should still be nice. Yeah.
But I’ve already
extreme summer feeling. The sun is beating down on us. Yeah, it is. It’s already stinging your skin. I feel it to my cheeks.
Even though it’s it’s still morning, it feels like the temperature is already up there like it’s going to be for the rest of the day. I saw mom yesterday and she and my sister are going to have a girls trip without the husbands. Well, mom doesn’t have a husband. My father died. But my sister’s going to leave her husband behind. They’re going to do this girl trip and they’re gonna go willingly to a maritime city that I I will give him that it is a beach city in northern Morocco, but even then it’s supposed when we arrive it’s supposed to reach 40 Celsius during the day and a mom is a cardiac uh patient. So I told her why would she do that? She didn’t know. Well, it is it is our birth country. I understand. Sometimes you miss it. But God, neither mom or us, the the children can take the heat actually. But imagine 40 Celsius. We’re struggling here with 25 26. I admire people that can. And to be honest, sometimes it’s European that handle the sun better than we North Africans or Mediterranean people. You see European people come and sit on the beach when it’s scorching hot. And as a kid, I never understood that. Yeah. Some people can just handle the heat.
Yeah. They just can’t. Has nothing to do with ethnicity. You either can handle it or you can’t. I can’t.
You can’t. No, no, I can’t either. I can do it. I mean, if it’s, you know, useful, if I need to get somewhere or I can I can I how do you say I can bear it. Yes, I can bear it. But, um, it it will get to me eventually. But I must say it belongs to this season. It’s summer and in summer you you just need to see that difference between gloomy dark days and when it’s summer. It does something to the spirit. I must say it lifts the spirit up and it makes it soar. True. Oh man. So, if we’re talking less or we we we seemed quiet, it’s just because, guys, we’re just enjoying the breeze and trying to save some energy now from the bus. from I don’t know. Let’s see it. Yeah. So guys, get this. The the nagging people in our city council. Remember we told you about the problems they have with with ebikes that how much they hate it somehow. I don’t know. it doesn’t bring enough money according to politics maybe. So eventually they agreed upon to just let us be ebike as a fed bike. But now no now they’re looking at it again from a different point of view. Maybe we should have some sort of speed speed meters. Yeah. placed on uh B uh bike lanes, you know, to measure how fast we go. And me and Mike looked at each other, you know. Oh, wow. What a beautiful bird was that?

Yeah. So now they want to see to find a way how because I told you politics they need our money. The actual people that go fast, not are not only the ebikes, but mostly just crazies on bikes, regular bikes.

Well, it’s because we now have council people that don’t even live in Amsterdam.
They are just crazy. They really are crazy.
Yeah, they’re ruining the city. They’re really ruining the city. And I think more than 50% of us locals here hate what they’re doing. But you know what can you do about it? Shut up. That’s politics all over the world for you these days.

just a cafe. Yeah. All the locals are standing up supporting her. No, we don’t want that palm tree to go. But no, local council says it has to go. Why?
The inspectors came with six guys. Six
in order to take a look at that palm tree she had planted.

And I know she hasn’t budget and coaches and all that but there is nothing you can do about the accent.
But she’s doing really well. But still she does have an accent. You Yeah, you can hear that she’s not native Dutch. So that comes with some certain movements of the lips. And I think it’s just sad how she’s not portrayed in, you know, the crazy media, the rage, the age of the rage, portrayed as uh, you know, rude and making fun of Trump. She this neither her or the king for that matter, King Alexander, they’re not the type, we know here in Holland, we know they’re not the type to be sassy. They don’t. No, that’s not, you know, look for that in a different royal uh house uh members or something. Not bad.
No, but you know really I if anyone would mock them, I would expect it would be some prime minister, you know. True.
Somebody that that is that is elected and has a certain position for four years max
and then leaves the stage.

So they cannot afford to do anything weird like that. uh and mock people, etc. No, she’s that down earth that she actually once went to Morocco, my birth country, and she did cooking lessons with Moroccan uh uh housewives. This is the girl we’re talking about, just because she wanted to put them on the, you know, the agenda, the integration of uh uh uh you know, immigrant women and all that. That’s who she is. She’s just a very down to earth girl. That’s how I know her. And nobody can accept uh convince me to think otherwise at this point. I’m sorry. And I know it’s nice to have a buzz, but you you’re after the wrong girl. She’s she’s Yeah.

You can put yourself in the shoes of the villagers that used to go over this piece of land back and forth from the big city back to the village.

We heard some locals sharing some stories about today specifically some sort of a ceremony that started in the church. It’s Sunday today. So, there’s something going on. When we find out, we’ll let you know. All right. crazy. Mom was here only a couple of weeks ago with with her uh girls club. Mom joined this girls club a couple actually for years. She’s always been part of a girls club and I remember her going here a couple of weeks ago. Everything is uh semi closed it seems. Yeah. because it’s Sunday. Look at this quarter shop. It’s not even that expensive. Only 40 €40 that plate. I don’t think it’s for the whole set. That’s really nice. Did you guys see that? Those girls. Tough nuts to crack. No actual pictures, historical pictures. Yeah. It’s nice. So crazy. We feel like tourists in our own country. That’s when you know you love your country. When you enjoy it like a tourist. Look there.
