hey everyone I’m Shane from the Cali Domestic Podcast this is something new that we’re trying and with the tour to France coming up super soon and what a few more days let’s jump into this we’re going to switch gears and let’s call it the Yellow Jersey podcast once again I’m Shane and today we’re heading into the 2025 tour to France kicking off July 5th in Liil wrapping up in Paris on July 27th this route is entirely in France for the first time since 2020 it’s spread across 21 stages with 3,338 kilometers of riding little bit of route and history this year’s route blends drama and tradition there’s seven flat stages six hilly and six mountainous stages with five summit finishes we’re also got two time trials one traditional and one brutal 11 km mountain time trial this is the first here in 21 years let’s talk about some of our favorites and some rivalries at the heart of this tour is the ongoing duel between Tade Padar and Jonas Vindigard still dominating GC battles since 2021 pagotch claimed titles in 21 and 24 while Vinegard took it in 22 and 23 their epic rivalry is considered one of the cycling greatest i uh I might have to disagree because I remember some uh young guys against Contidor the two brothers the Shle boys that was a pretty good one um they kind of just fell off conidor had some issues with that tainted beef but but enough about the past but heads in red hot fresh off a dominant crit daffine where he claimed three stage wins and crushed the field in the mountains if he carries that form a fourth yellow is firmly on this radar but Vinegard won’t be easy to shake his Lisa Bike squad is Rockell he’s got Will Bernard Simon Yates Matteo Gorgensson and Seep Cous all backing his bid for a third title also in the mix let’s not forget about Remco Evol seeking to break into the top two after a strong showing we have Primos Robble aiming for his ninth Grand Tour podium and other outsiders like Almeida Mas and O’ Conor some key riders to watch we have Jasper Philipsson from Alpison Dulpskin which used to be Quickstep i don’t know how to say it and uh one of my favorite sprinters of last year was Binium Germe fun fact about him we’re both sponsored by Brighton Sport using the new S810 radar check it out i’ll put a link below but uh these sprinters will chase every win they can and get points for that jersey we also have brothers Simon and Adam Yates they’re now on opposing teams while Simon supporting Vineo Adam is back in Bagotchar expect some fireworks with these duos let’s talk about some stage highlights and what is at stake so stage 12 we have the first major summit finish where GC gaps may open stage 13 is a mountain time trial this is a pure climbers test rare and crucial the queen stage number 14 in the preeies is uh ending in launch sampro graness maybe maybe not and then we have Mont Vanto stage 16 this is iconic merciless and decisive for the wins so the 2025 tour is shaping up into a duel of the ages with Pogachar’s firepower versus vinegar’s fortresslike team prepped with explosive stages and breakout talent I’m Shane and this has been your tour to France 2025 preview on the Cali domestic podcast stay tuned we’ll bring daily recaps inside stories and celebration or heartache viva tour five
