  1. I’d go for it for the price! Looks hardly ever used, the gravel would leave at least some marks on the frame chainstays.

  2. Yeah, its good for the price. If you dont like it, you can sell it later for the same price easily. Or maybe little more even

Kona makes great bikes. The rove has a steel frame which is my favorite material for bike frames, since it strikes a good balance between durability, comfort, and cost. If it fits I’d say go for it.

Edit: just saw this is the aluminum version. I’d still go for it

I have one (2020 AL) and used it for long audax rides, gravel races, fondo rides, and city commutes. Kona is a nice brand

  5. That’s a great starter bike.

The components are not upper tier but you don’t need that when starting.

It gives you the perfect opportunity to find what you’d like to improve/replace over time

No carbon fork so it’s gonna be a bit harsher on the front end. Looks like it disnt fit the previous owner jusging by the spacers and stem. Make sure it fits you, ideally without that tower of spacers (which impacts handling) and a normal stem.

Kona makes fantastic bikes. If it fits and price is right you can always upgrade components later.

  8. Bought Kona rove al650 last year and love it, great bike, i paid 800e for new, but this looks like great deal for that price!
Just check if its the right size for you – i learned that in gravel bikes size really matters (its better to go with smaller one then bigger).

I personally hate disc brakes – but others like them – guess it’s preference

Kona rider here, its great as far as the brand Kona goes so don’t worry about buying Kona, its gonna be good, but you gotta worry a lot more about buying the correct size bike then anything else. The best bike in the world will still ride like shit if its the wrong size 🙂

  11. I have a steel Kona Rove and I love it. If it fits it will be a good bike for your needs.

  12. Good deal! Stuff can be replaced, mainly check the diagrams whether the size is good for your posture.
