Recently aquired my latest build project today, 2018 Haro Boulevard 20.5in. first think I did was take the original chain wheel off and replaced it with a 39 tooth trident chain wheel to compliment the 9 tooth freewheel cog, replaced the chain with a much stronger and bright red chain to take the torque. Stuck my shadow conspiracy seat on the post (this seat has been with me for 4 builds now). Swapped out the composite pedals for haro fusion aluminum pedals. Stripped the bike down to just the frame and cleaned then greased everything from the crank set and bottom bracket to the bearing and axles in both wheel, as well at the headset.
Tomorrow I'm rebuilding the rear break assembly, tracking down a 27mm layback post, new 20×2.40 tires and some pegs and chain tensioners that will fit the 17mm axles.
Think I'm gonna paint it as well. I used color shifting paint on my 20" redline pro-expert and 24" Custom SE Basher. I really like the look and want to have easy bike a different color.
