I ride an XL most days. When I find a good-looking bike on Facebook, I ask the seller to measure the seat tube. Only once got an answer over 20″. Now I ride that bike every day!
Yeah but pretty much every 70s road bike should fit you nicely

Keep a sharp eye out. I picked up a 62cm Centurion for $30 a couple months ago. They’re out there.

Hangon a second.
As a stocky man-boy with a 27” inseam on a good day, I FEEL THE EXACT OPPOSITE

I just picked up a 23″ jamis coda for free. I didn’t look closely when I grabbed it, not used to frames being too big for me @ 6’1. If you’re in Duluth MN you can have it.

32 inch wheels and tires are now a thing.
Keep hunting. I’ve found several Xls in the last few months. Fellow 6’4” biker. Where are you from?
21″s are out there, I know, I have 2 of them.
The late Bill Walton did relate, he was an avid cyclist.
