A photo of the drive side might be helpful.
The rust at the base of the seat tube looks really gnarly. I’m not sure the bike is safe to ride.

I don’t know, but the bubbling rust around the bottom bracket lug is a bit concerning. Are you thinking of buying it?

That’s a Kashimax Aero.
Don’t know much about them other than they were early 1980’s Japanese coolness. Bought mine out of a small bike shop in 81 or so. If yours is original it has knock off Dura Ace AX components. If memory serves, the front wheel is laced radially and i think the rear drive side is 3x and the non drive is 2x(?). The aero headset is also awesome.
I lost my original bike but found another 10+ years ago and hope to get it running one day.
Post more pics of the components if ya get a sec.

Oh sick, it’s one of the early eighties bikes that was specifically built around Shimano’s aerodynamic AX line of components, probably with aerodynamic teardrop-shaped tubes, to match.
