    A photo of the drive side might be helpful.

    The rust at the base of the seat tube looks really gnarly. I’m not sure the bike is safe to ride.

    I don’t know, but the bubbling rust around the bottom bracket lug is a bit concerning. Are you thinking of buying it?

  4. That’s a Kashimax Aero.
    Don’t know much about them other than they were early 1980’s Japanese coolness. Bought mine out of a small bike shop in 81 or so. If yours is original it has knock off Dura Ace AX components. If memory serves, the front wheel is laced radially and i think the rear drive side is 3x and the non drive is 2x(?). The aero headset is also awesome.

    I lost my original bike but found another 10+ years ago and hope to get it running one day.

  5. Oh sick, it’s one of the early eighties bikes that was specifically built around Shimano’s aerodynamic AX line of components, probably with aerodynamic teardrop-shaped tubes, to match.
