Giro d’Italia 2025 – Massive crash on stage 6… Jai Hindley out and race neutralized

Le Giro d’Italia a été neutralisé lors de la 6e étape, en raison de routes mouillées qui ont provoqué une chute massive impliquant de nombreux coureurs. La chute s’est produite à 72 kilomètres de l’arrivée, dans une descente qui n’était pourtant pas technique. Mais dans une portion de route rectiligne, deux chutes distinctes se sont produites à quelques mètres d’écart. La deuxième a impliqué un grand nombre de coureurs. Plusieurs dizaines de coureurs sont allées au sol, dont Jai Hindley (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe), vainqueur du Giro 2022 et principal lieutenant de Primoz Roglic, qui a été contraint à l’abandon. La course a un temps été neutralisée peu après en raison de la nécessité de faire intervenir des ambulances sur place, mais aussi à la demande des coureurs… avant qu’elle ne reprenne quelques minutes plus tard.
