Dude… I know some vets… told me the only thing to.be afraid of in a European Forrest is that (the mother with the offsprings)!!! Also i knew 2 farmers from my childhood region that lost limbs to those.
I would freak the fuck out.

Wild Hogs are not your friend. The Boars (male hogs) will attack if they think that you are in their territory or if you are a threat, a Sow (female that has given birth) will also attack you for the same reasons especially if her piglets are still young.
The forests in Germany are full of wild pigs & used to scare the hell out of me when I rode on the forest trails when they would literally run right past me whenever I passed through their area.

Wooow I was bikepacking in Switzerland two weeks ago and I heared a wild boar grunt in the evening, when I was laying in my hammock. I freaked out and switched to build up my tent in no time. terrifying imo
