Went for my 3rd set of elite wheels.

    One rim brake
    One MTB
    One gravel

    All seems pretty good.

Not trying to be rude, genuinely interested: why would you need aero wheels for a Grizl, are you planning to put road/race tires on it?

there is zero excuse for buying western brand wheels anymore since they are ALL (well, 99.9%) made in china. cut the middlemen and contact yuanan, lightbicycle, tagoola, xmcs or similar. communication is great, shipping is 2-3 weeks and you can get some real good wheels for 500

The best value for new wheels comes from the Chinese market. There are really premium brands that have great customer support and some crazy good wheels that compare to western brands with double the cost. Some examples:

    – Wheelsfar (Hyper/Kaze)

    – Farsports (C Series)

    – Light Bicycle (any)

You can even find the exact dimensions you want due to their extensive offering. I prefer them over Zipp or Enve because of the customization.

Best value is probably the Kaze Disc (Wheelsfar). It costs $889 with a depth of 58mm and a DT Swiss 350 hub.

The Falcon series of Light Bicycle is also amazing value.

  6. Elite aliexpress. I literally paid £220 for a pair during sales and with coupons

Light Bicycle. I’ve purchased 4 sets= 1 fat, 2 gravel & 1 road. Many customization options & price points. Some wheels can be built out of their North American shop for quick shipment. Zero issues with anything. Good stuff!!!

  8. I got a pair of Carbon Speeds about 4 months ago and they are great wheels. I haven’t tried any others, but I can vouch for these. [Xiamen Carbon Speed Sport Goods Co.,Ltd](https://www.xmcarbonspeed.com/)

I worked with Peter. After ordering I had them in about 2 weeks and he kept me informed while the wheels were built. I think I spent about $1,050. 40mm wheels, set up tubeless ready, extra carbon spokes for front and rear. Took about 10 or so days and they arrived at my door in California.

I’m looking at the 9velo GV45 SW (superwide). A new version that almost matches the Zipp’s 303 XPLR SW internal/external widths. The GV45 SW’s got a 32mm internal/38mm external and are 45mm deep. Fits 36-65mm tires.

I’ve just ordered some EliteWheels Gravel Aero+ from AliExpress for 460€ very wide and seem pretty good.

Elitewheels. If you go to their official website and use the coupon code “PATRICK15” (I found it on YouTube while watching a review), you’ll get 15-20% off. I purchased a set of Drive II 50Ds and got 20%. I just tried it on a set of gravel wheels and only got 15%. It might be price-dependent.

I’ve enjoyed my winspace/lun wheels. Got them on sale and seemed like a great value. Carbon spokes and ceramic bearings too!

  13. I have a pair of 45mm Elitewheels Edge Gravel Wheels on my Grizl. I can highly recommend them after roughly 4000km and I only paid like 550€.
