Started the rail track at Gagnieres (70 km NW of Avignon) in NE direction to Ruoms. Really great track, art on the sides, many resting places, smooth tarmac, well lit tunnels and flat. Way back via rural roads.

today we did the part from Gier to W on the Vera which is a converted rail track this is just out at our house on our way to Geras [Music] first port of call is the Bonjour conveniently located about a kilometer or two from the house agnes is very happy to try all varieties of baguettes [Music] this is the cafe which is 500 m down the road basically we would start every ride here [Music] a nice viewpoint [Music] the barriers on a cycle pass in France are a we bit easier to navigate than those in the UK and a little bit of artwork next to it [Music] as can be seen potholes here are few and far between [Music] and some nice facilities as well path is used not only by cyclists [Music] and some more works of art and you could sit on the benches on the left and admire and then we had our first tunnel uh tunnels are well lit uh smoothark and also this tunnel has light at the end of it [Music] and after all of this excitement it was time for coffee in St paul [Music] and besides coffee they also had a nice selection of different beers but uh it was a bit early for me and after coffee another tunnel [Music] and bit of a view and another tunnel a short one this time [Music] there was still some standing water from yesterday’s rain [Music] here [Music] we arrive at obviously a very new tunnel where the drainage hasn’t yet been completely sorted out have to say it did rain pretty hard yesterday evening [Music] [Music] this happens when the tunnel becomes the river [Music] the two bridges over the river are dash one for cyclist and pedestrians and the other one for motorized vehicles [Music] [Music] we have a dash again and now near the village of WS [Music] [Music] crossing the river leon [Music]
