Having a wander around the town of Valenciennes in Northern France, as you do.
Start off heading to the Stade Hainaut, one of the host grounds for the Womens Euro’s and home to VAFC, before walking back into town
[Music] [Applause] [Music] go just wait for a track righty see so we’re on our city tour off uh come out of the way to uh the stadium deu where the 2019 Women’s World Cup was played well some games were played but we’re out in the sticks at the moment we’re head back into town and let’s see uh what valencians has to offer so we’ll just continue walking around there’s the welcome to the stadium heo I’m sure it’ll be quite interesting later on when there’s a match on apparently they’re playing tonight apparently they’re not very good because they’ve won two games all season although one of those was two weeks ago but on the flip side they are in the last dat of the French cup I believe and then behind the stadium we have nesa which I believe was the former stadium for valencians and has now been turned into a uh swimm pool uh squash tennis paddle board courts binton as we can see over there and there we have Stadium Deo right so this morning I did take a walk out here uh it’s just a chance to have a look around the actual Town Center itself is quite dead when I walked through it this morning but hopefully we’ll see something or some more activity when we get there it’s about a 20 minute walk I guess or we could jump on the trams and get down to lar walk but yeah we’ll see if we can find something interesting in a moment so here we are the other side of Lessa which was the site of the former stadium for valencians on the bus goes tiny little thing it is you can see a couple of bars for the uh stadium and not much else here so time to walk into town Mr the postman so as we wander down a bar to back and Lotto apparently and there is Mr nungesser himself former pilot now we uh wander around we’re several cars some bikes and not much else bar and restaurant never know we might see later the Sunday 6:45 to midnight well local time here at the moment it’s 11:00 and it’s Saturday and certainly this part of town is rather dead but it is on the outskirts because I wanted to come out and see uh the stadium it’s very pleasant here it’s a nice property there as it is it’s two properties the bonus bar [Applause] and car glass and then the outskirts of town and see them clearing their nose [Applause] marvelous I’m showing you the bars because I am actually going to the football later and I intend to stop off at somewhere and enjoy a pint of the local beverage which apparently is CR be go Stellar according to the signs I’ve seen so far but you never know we’ll see what you see in the meantime we are getting some more built up areas and I realize now that when I walked this way this morning I walked over that way that was a silly mistake hey you learn by right so down that way is a park and [Applause] then hopefully we’ll see allow me to hey got a green man could have changed green a lot sooner but hey I won’t complain so you can tell where coming into town now because it’s the start of the pharmacy there bloody hundreds of them that and headresses waffer and bu there’s plenty of people in these uh bars it’s just too early for me instead we’ll head into ter quickly cross before we get run over and see what we get [Applause] [Applause] plenty of uh super options I’m not here for that so not for me another bar Bop wed up resturant as we work further into town [Applause] now we listen to the squs of ties so as I walked through here this morning a couple of hours ago it was dead that was next to another one around so it seems as if people are starting to wake up now town this is the uh town that is alled up run down Club prev fren is exist actual fact a school so you can see there’s plenty of balls there’s another Farm SE this one’s loosed Hotel restaurant and bar and a statue some kind let’s have a little over here flute Jaan Japan flute other than that doesn’t mean a great de to me so there’s a car park a hotel what we haven’t seen in a while is uh headdresses don’t worry something let’s go go restaurant there we go somewhere to go I really have no interested in trying to eat snils even the thought of it would make me heave here we apparently have a number of shops a cat coffee shop didn’t see any cat so I didn’t go in for a coffee although to be fair I have had four already this morning and here we go yes we found another hairdresses yes this town at me of all these uh hairdresses I must have excellent hair and it’s something I’d never bother around with instead I’m just the person who’s wandering around with a camera talking to himself but unforunately I’m English and they’re French and we don’t understand each other nothing in heill coffee CL shate here marvelous so we’re somewhere in the middle of town now and yeah the Mage just made good to see there what can we see here so we are now in town resid also there’s the shopping center in there yeah I’m not going in I really don’t need to do any shopping Le is quite some building no idea what it is but massive ceilings in that first R looks like three story building a cafe closed nachos it must be the Council Office European flag the Ukrainian flag and the French flag and here we are now somewhere in the middle of the Town what we see cafes couple of restaurants and a pharmacy and I’m sure if we walked around for another 5 minutes we find a head we are at the penalty valenci I think it’s 170 for Theon of the cup for the I over the road there you can see police build up they this morning whole van and C looks like so you excuse me as I uh stuck my face I my dinner eating and then my head over to the ground which we saw this morning short
