hello everyone welcome to a new video been a few weeks now since I finished my uh European trip uh hope you enjoyed uh watching that little series there uh I certainly had a good good time you know uh I’ve uh since been ill um I had it coming on uh when I was doing the uh the clips along the uh the sharpness Canal there uh and uh yeah the cough and the cold and what have you so uh didn’t do anything the following weekend had a weekend off cuz I wasn’t wasn’t well um got over that um fairly quickly fortunately so I did a uh a 200 km a that last weekend um I didn’t film it I just wanted to uh I just like to enjoy the ride sometimes you know so uh anyway that brings us on to today uh off on a 300 down to a place called Hawley which is Winchester I’m back and uh well it’s as you can see a glorious day but uh a little bit chilly but that’s all right it’s supposed to warm up a bit later so I should take this jacket off and uh you know enjoy the sunshine anyway without further ado let’s let’s crack on and I’ll I’ll speak to in a bit further down the road well I’m 40K in now and uh here in yet in Ken Cafe behind me ended up having a breakfast toate doing that but still yeah so we’re 40K in as I said and uh weather is absolutely glorious certainly warming up now I’ve taken me rain jacket off was cooking in and I should probably take my uh OD shoes off in a bit and this is the uh the church in uh yaken kernel which I believe is St Margaret yeah Bell over there anyway I’m going to crack on so you know I’m there a few miles further on now probably about 10 miles and this is the can naen Canal um still on side alongs side and this is actually an aqueduct I’ve never noticed it i’ never coton on it was before and uh this road here is the uh chipping and Ring Road so uh yeah so I’ve got about eight maybe 9 miles of uh Toe Path now to the other side of devises and uh I’m not expecting it to be particularly fast if you know what I mean there’s a lot of people about today cuz it’s nice and sunny so I think people today start to move around a bit in the outdoors you know weather’s you know improved so yeah that’s uh it’s rather [Applause] noisy anyway devises [Music] it’s busy on here today I think these you these green ones here you can hire and this is K Hill back pumping station so I would imagine this pumps the water up K Hill which is just over there it’s not far I can’t see I think the trees are in the way oh glorious day so that’s devic tick off it’s uh come along the to path it’s rather a pleasant uh track trffic free alternative to it out satday devises and now we’re uh to the lanes glorious day isn’t it I love it when they uh feel go yet they like that I can see a white horse ahead that’s a pey white horse that’s the uh next town of not FY so I’m basically uh now heading mostly East towards uh Winchester well eventually hello folks so uh you join me just outside puzy is just over there I stopped iny and had a pasty and uh I’m now heading towards the Salsbury plane sort of area and this hill in front I don’t know if you can see because it’s a bit of a sad site but that’s ay White Horse there looks like it could do with the liquor paint really it’s uh looking a bit sorry for it so it’s uh yeah so I got to winch myself up this hill and uh across the plane so folks kit and it’s usual excellent job it’s find me a lovely uh cycle path through Andover so that’s where I am Andover uh another a second yeah so as I was saying uh before uh the Railway Bridge got in the way uh Kut basically threaded the eye of the needle for a better description through hand over on uh plenty of uh cycle PS and what have you and I’m now a few miles out side of Andover so uh yeah that was pretty painless the road between uh well from about 2 miles the other side of lore uh to a place called Way hill was pretty busy and then there was a a bike PA so I was glad to sort of get on that really uh however I did Cover a bit of grain quite quick there so that was good it’s uh yeah it’s uh roading Countryside nothing of note to be honest uh wind has picked up since this morning it’s a bit of a I want to say crosswind but it’s more like from the 8:00 position uh uh what’s the scores on the doors in terms of distance 76.2 miles done so that’s all right that’s good saying I’ll uh I’ll finish it 20 to 12 tonight but ain’t going to be that that quick I don’t think I’ll put two or three stops between now and then I got i s this out 17 5K to do so um you know in that distance I’m going to stop at least twice so uh you can kind of add 45 minutes an hour onto that but that’s all right I’ve got to till 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning so there no rush I’m not doing it as a race just doing it to uh uh well the hell of it if I’m honest I do have um what I think of it um I do have the bre Cy in two weeks today should be doing that so uh I do like that route it’s uh it’s all right it is very easy to go too hard at the beginning of it and die so so uh I should have to remember my own advice anyway I’m rather than standing in the wind here I’m going to crack off so uh you know I’m now on the uh test way over tested to my right to through these trees traffic is little bit too bumpy really never mind [Applause] so this is just yeah this is just where I’ve come along from and uh as you can see it’s a bit chopped up they’ been doing some forestry stuff and obviously using heavy machinery to do all that sort of thing it’s just chopped it up and it’s now dried out which is good uh it’s just made it ever bumpy and uh you know this tree has been here that long there’s a path here which I’m just going to back to walk around it and it’s actually worn a path so that goes to show how long this tree’s been here so what a shame it was it’s clearly an Old Railway line you tell by the bridge to be honest but uh yeah it’s a shame when they get a bit like this this is actually King sborn yeah a bit of flood in about going by the uh green Alie on the road there um that’s been flooded for a while well King somborn what a beautiful place wow got a bit of Village Envy there [Music] I’m about five or six miles from uh Winchester just stopped to have a bit of a breedo I think I’ve come along this road before but in the opposite direction I remember right L go up over that Ridge and it’s a bit sort of up and down and but it’s on a ridge and you can look to the right and you can see romsy and places like that off in the distance it’s uh yeah this uh roading Hills Windows XP so this is today’s uh destination holey vict Winchester’s in that general direction this see the oldfashioned C for up there given a clue to its previous life so I’ve basically done a bit of a loop so I’ve come down gone into those trees over there and then come across this the verdict and I’m not sure what Motorway that is you can see in the going through the cutting in the hillside but uh yeah we’re going down here across the road and then up the hill that’s Chandra for railway station no that’s not me uh bail in my uh my RO comes this way at the railway station well this is the river test looks quite [Applause] High hasn’t flooded so it passed that test yeah my dad jokes don’t get any better so folks that’s uh romsy ticked off and uh you saw the uh River test at motis font a wonderful name it’s a village is just down there actually just out of sight and uh they got a bit of a um a National Trust house there I I I saw the front of the drive the gates are all closed cuz it’s quite late now but um yeah and then that came onto this this path here so I’m I’m heading in this direction temperature had started to drop a little bit so I put my J back on and I thought while I’m at it I’ll put the vizr on uh cuz the light went a bit funny and then it’s been uh brilliant Sunshine ever since uh you know s law and all that anyway we’re basically heading north of West but not Northwest not quite that towards uh Salsbury I don’t know how far soulsbury is but it can’t be that far 20 miles at most and then uh I think I’m going to do is uh get some supplies in the SSB area and I think to try and do the final without having to stop anywhere if you know what I mean cuz I don’t really want to stop in in the dark or what have you so well I will but you know what I mean not in a petrol station anyway let’s crack on hello so I’m now in uh I’m Souls fre and I’m just sat here move ah okay ah if I do that you can just see the Spire through this cage um yeah so that’s uh 200k 100K to go and I don’t know how long I’ve F to do it it’s quite a lot so uh don’t know what time is now to be perfectly honest with you have a look oh it’s a quart we so we with that out it’s 4 and a/4 hours 10 and a/4 hours to do 100K that’s 10K an hour average to home I think I might be able to manage that uh yeah it’s been pretty uneventful since the last time I spoke to you and uh lots of um insects in in the air you know bouds of them anyway from here we’re going out towards Wilton a little bit up the uh Wy Valley and then over the uh Salsbury plane down into Till’s head shuon Till’s head and then uh Mar lavend no what’s it called I can’t remember the name of the place name but basically um we’re going back to melin uh from mam we’ve got a different route home from melam to the one we came out on I say that it rejoins the same route basically um that bid Stone so uh by then it completely dark so it doesn’t really make any difference anyway I’ve got a a sandwich and a drink that should see me to see me back hello folks so I’m now back home or near enough and uh it’s 2:00 a.m. I have 4 hours in hand so that’s uh not too bad that’s considerably faster than the last 300 I’d done so I’m just slightly less pathetic than I was on that occasion I’m joking but uh yeah it’s h gone off very cold not Frosty cold but it’s cold wind has dropped but I did have a headwind uh all the way back from Eastern gray so uh yeah the last 17 18 miles out of headwind that wasn’t particularly nice anyway I’m not doing a a ride next weekend I’m going have a weekend off and uh yeah I should do something the weekend after while doing bre Cy so uh yeah I’ll
