Overview of probably the best ski resort in Croatia. Located near the city of Rijeka, Platak is one of the rare ski resorts with a full winter season that’s also just a few kilometers from a sea.
Situated in the Gorski Kotar region in western Croatia, with only several km from the Adriatic Sea.

It has a winter and summer content. In winter, you’ll find skiing, snowboarding, equipment rental, and several ski slopes. In summer, you can enjoy disc golf, karting, and more — all with affordable restaurants and cozy places to stay.
With a height of 1363 m, it is the higest ski resort in Croatia.

We are at Platak ski resort in Croatia it is one of the few resorts in Croatia where you can go ski, along with Sljeme in Zagreb, and Čelinbaša in Mrkopalj let us take a closer look and see if this one takes the award of being the best for sure it is a ski resort with the most ski days on average in Croatia the season starts somewhere at the end of the December or early January and lasts sometimes all the way up to the April With a height of 1300 meters it is also the highest ski resort in Croatia it is divided into four tracks two red ones Radeševo 1 and 2 a really cool blue track that takes you through the woods called Turistička, and a baby track there is also an additional track but not meant for skiing, it is used mainly for sled The ski lift has been modernized in 2023 with the capacity to take four people at once there are also two belt lifts or magic carpets they are perfect for people that are just starting out a small snow park is located at the bottom of Radeševo 1 currently we are passing by the Radesevo 1 the skilift will take us to the top of the slope this is the red slope and the most popular it has a length of around 800 meters and ends at around 1100 meters of altitude as you can notice, the view is just awesome Let’s continue up with the lift looking at the trees covered in snow they look awesome, almost as they are frozen we stop here for a moment this reminds me of the ski lift operators a really nice thing is that they will slow the ski lift down as needed, so someone inexperienced can get easily on but I guess this is common on other ski resorts too we are almost at the top We have reached the top, from here we can take paths to Radeševo 1 Turistička or Radeševo 2 let us take the left path to Radeševo 1 one of the things that I like most about Platak is the view, as you will see it is just stunning, even more in person from mountains covered in snow to the Adriatic Sea and islands, just awesome the quality of the snow is really good it’s squashy, just as it should be Oops! on the left you can see the old ski lift that operated I think from the 70s, it was a two seat lift approaching the slope end on the left is where a snow park is usually built and on the right is the belt lift once again on the top let us take one more run there are some clouds today but the visibility is really good, which is really cool on the right, in a moment we will pass near the water pool that is used by the snow cannons to produce artificial snow for the slope when necessary in one of the next videos we will try to cover the Turistička slope which is really special as it takes you through the forest it is also the longest slope with more than 3,000 meters in length just after the water pool there is a connection that leads to the Turistička track it is just another path that you can take and combine your way down so could Platak be regarded as the best ski resort in Croatia? for me definitely it has a decent amount and cool slopes from blue to red ones, specifically Turisticka slope and beautiful scenery and views including mountains and sea for me Platak is really a good resort it is the ski resort where I learned to ski and snowboard I really love to ski here and enjoy it very much have you ever been here, do you like it too or do you plan a visit let me know in the comments below that is it for this video thank you for watching LIKE, subscribe, and see you next time
