Not any more. Thats pretty much a bike shaped object at this point in time. Getting that brain shock serviced is going to bee almost impossible.

What an odd shock placement. When is this bike from?

I’d rather roll on a 2.6″ or 2.8″ tire hardtail. Modern wheel/tire setup & geometry will do more than this rear suspension.

That thing was very nifty in it’s day, but it will be a pain in the ass due to it’s uniqueness. I don’t trash talk all the bikes just for being old, but I’d rather do a early 90s rockhopper than this thing strictly from a reliability perspective. If you want to buy a full suspension bike, you should be able to find excellent used bikes starting at $700 USD and if you get all the way up and into spending $1200 USD you’re going to get a really excellent bike.

This was a rocket ship 15 years ago but now you don’t want it. Specialized was doing some funky stuff back then with their brain suspension. Getting the suspension serviced will be impossible.

Hard pass, that things a relic. Would be fun if you discovered it in grandpas garage but terrible for commuting and shitty for actual trails

I wouldn’t buy it but if you already own it then just ride it.

I would rather have a newer hardtail than an old full suspension. Suspension is only good if it works well. This will not work well.

Brain is pain, everything is old, but nothing better for 100 for sure!

Too old. Geometry is off. You’ll never find replacement or repair parts

I had one of these years ago. Was a great bike for cross country I wouldn’t jump it though. Will do the job though. Enjoy.

Literally one of the worst choices that is able to be made. The technology is dead and unable to be serviced. This literally belongs in a museum, mainly so it can’t be ridden.

That bike could be a lot of fun. But the brain shocks are hard to get worked on. I think [Risse](https://www.risseracing.com/) still works on them, but not positive.
