    I don’t think so dated groupset rim breaks the lot. I think you can get a newer claris with either mechanical or hydraulic disk breaks for this price if not 105 etc

  2. I’d say it’s a decent price (on the higher end + if rubber, tape and cables are good) everything checks out. No pedals suggests that the person selling this bike is a frequent rider. If that’s the case, then check the rims, especially the braking surface. Make sure it’s relatively flat, hold a credit card against the side of the rim, if it’s flat, you’re good, if it’s concave, you need to consider having a shop look at it to see how much life is left.
