Just came home from a three day trip from Karlstad in Sweden to Halden in Norway. I followed "Unionsleden" from Karlstad to Bengtsfors, and then followed the roadsigns from there to Halden. All in all a very good trip!
I can recommend this route for anyone who wants a short trip (3-5 days) mostly on gravel. I spent two nights in my tent and one in a primitive shelter (basically a permanent lean-to).
