I bought this Smoothie HP frameset over the winter and slowly acquired parts to build it up. I finished it a couple of weeks ago and have put about 150 miles on it so far. It makes for a pretty plush and comfortable ride. I find the front end to be pretty quick and a bit twitchy, it takes some effort to keep it going straight while hands free, although I suspect part of it is due to my cable routing which I'm still adjusting.

I like the more classic thin tube look on a bike. I wanted a frame with external cable routing to make maintenance and swapping parts easier. The frame is fairly lightweight for steel. Carbon fork is, as you would expect, also pretty lightweight although the steerer is alloy. Anyway, I didn't go for any weight weenie parts, the bike as you see it sits at 22lbs even. Here’s mine. Fantastic bike for anyone else interested. Ride quality is great. One thing that surprised me, is that this bike maintains its snappy and stable ride characteristic through the full range of tire width compatibility. From a 28 through to a 35, it rides the same. Which, surprised me.

    Great bike.
