this is day 57 riding home from Rome our host Ellen cooked us breakfast washed down with espresso after a great night’s sleep sundays in Germany meant no supermarkets were open so we grabbed a few supplies from one of the few open bakeries before getting on the road today we crossed the border into the Netherlands where the architecture surprised us a little with rows of bricks houses thankfully there were supermarkets open for lunch we continued to Mastro where we stayed at a warm showers host Banu and Denise’s place and a fellow Brit Simon also stopping there a fantastic dinner and Belgium beer tasting while seeing their impressive medal collections another 68 miles in the bank catch us tomorrow for day 58 riding home from Rome
