[Music] okay this is the first big climb out of Bill ba about 28° hot already how you doing buddy you going [Music] girl okay nearly 6 hours in the saddle today so far still climbing now big climb this way there just packing up last night’s Camp first Camp of the trip comfortable night out here on top of the mountain [Music] beautiful okay Hill number one for today this is a 2,000 footer tough already and it’s so hot so hot so it’s going to be a tough day today but we’ll uh grind on as much as we can somebody sell me an [Music] ebike [Music] think of that thing [Music] nice [Music] oh this is so cruel big steep climbing the Heat and there’s a river rushing below us all we can hear is that lovely cold water and we got no access to it what a bugger never mind and that was a tough day that was a tough day so uh we’re looking forward to a bit of a chill out now big feed the fatigue suddenly disappear when it’s this good day brilliant anyway see you [Music] tomorrow all right morning morning very very windy last night to the point where we very nearly abandoned the tent because we’re worried about the uh [Music] so welcome to the glamour of bicycle touring it’s absolutely lashing down with rain we’re absolutely soaked to skin and uh but we’re now having a nice break in a uh with um yeah cheesy dupers in a roadside bus [Applause] shelter and we’re just loocking up a lovely filter coffee for the two of us say hello cheers B lovely filter coffee and some snacks and some [Music] biscuits ah good afternoon from the uh Spanish French border at the top of the uh top of the coal the coal unpronouncable and uh here’s her lady ship oh it’s wet it’s bomy it’s absolutely wet and it’s cold when you’re wet you kind of feel cheated when you’ve slug your guts up a massive Mountain to look at the view and all you can see is rain and Cloud but hey ho never mind it was a long slug up but we enjoyed it and we didn’t overheat anyway so we just got our waterproof gear on over our Soden wet gear and uh we’re now going to go down the mountain aren’t we we’re just got to go down the mountain down to try a bed and breakfast and we’re going to treat ourselves to a B&B cuz it’s lashing Down Still and a shower a that would be nice bed anyway we’ll see you later as long as we surviv the Journey [Music] Down [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so we just left San be B starting the second leg of our trip heading North now or Northeast 1,50 km to go to wam for the ferry so hopefully a nice steady [Music] start so here we are yet another huge downpour and another bus shelter making coffee see now it looks lovely down there where we’ve come but unfortunately we’re still going up and this is so steep bit that’s where we started that’s where we came over Yer came over yesterday but man this is this is so steep not only are we pushing we can’t even get traction on the road this is a killer but hey we’re having fun aren’t we it’s a holiday we’re going to get back to England in three uh Years Years two weeks hopefully anyway see you later bye I reckon that push is the closest I’ve ever come to having a heart attack in my life [Music] man [Music] another 20 to go quite hot now ni yeah it’s quite hot it’s [Music] better [Music] only about 4 miles to luxie now almost time for breakfast looking forward to that but it’s a nice easy morning Cruise which is [Music] nice oh oh man his last couple of miles is so hard [Music] now feeding The Brood with a nice milky coffee fing the children fing that’s just so insulting and in my safe space you know it’s not very nice [Music] [Applause] f [Music] and here we go Nikki’s just been shopping now when Nikki’s been shopping it can take anywhere between an hour and 17 [Music] hours [Music] just having breakfast we’ just uh ridden through a little French Market Town very busy Market Town actually and got our little breakfast here and we’re just doing a nice cup of coffee down here mhm and uh this is the way you do it when you’re [Music] traveling the conquers are dropping all over the place anyway here’s her lady ship now I’m not saying that she reacts badly to insect bites but it’s like I’m cycling with John Merck The Elephant Man at the and he’s actually size of that he’s actually G poor bugger she’s really suffering with the olding fight something me he did yeah you got one of these try and keep up he anyway there we go feel it to be true and we Dan [Music] in and here we have tonight’s palatial five star accommodation in a forest location 30 Mi Southwest of patier man we know how to live H but look this is beautiful got it all to ourselves nobody about absolutely bloody marvelous good morning [Music] yes you got it all inside of you feel it to be true and dance I’m in you you you got it all [Music] good evening from somewhere slightly Northeast of Mayan May Mayan may may my French isn’t very good um really difficult to find a camping spot here actually but um we spoke to a nice friend Le Faro said there’s some disused fields from somebody who um doesn’t live around here and they’ve left their fields to rot um so we got this nice quiet field here Sun’s just setting behind the trees and to push the bikes up through the field and here’s her lady ship just setting up for dinner snack having a snack bikes are all done we’ve already had a a shower and washed we flattened an area for the tent that’s going to go up in a bit yeah not bad uh good day must have been around 60 miles I’ll have a look in a minute must been around 60 mile ride steady conditions so quite nice and then hopefully the same tomorrow anyway we’re really hungry now so we’re going to say bye-bye aren’t we goodbye bye-bye [Music] this [Music] okay just riding away from our campsite on the last morning absolutely beautiful place here look lovely views had a very peaceful night now got 35 Mi down to the ferryport uh one short sharp climb in a minute and then mostly downhill and flat so that’s good so we’re looking forward to that but yeah seems a shame to be heading back to reality but that we must so we’ll just enjoy this last day so normandy’s last climb defeats us this is unbelievably steep there’s no way we could ride this one anyway you didn’t make me do it last night oh didn’t kill her last night wouldn’t it anyway keep going girl well [Music] done fantastic so um should be far more of this sort of stuff I think really anyway it’s been a nice trip it’s been amazing and we’re both sad to be going back to reality work work yeah sucks really doesn’t it never mind but we’re going to enjoy our last day anyway it’s a delightful day the weather’s been very kind for most of the trip and uh we’re going to have a nice steady couple of hours now down towards the ferry so have a good day
