This stage leaves Freissinières and follows the GR® 50, passing several mountain hamlets. It then crosses the Fonds du Sap wood to descend close to the village of Réotier and its petrifying fountain and reach the wide Durance valley. Just after the confluence of the Guil and Durance rivers, it arrives at the fortified town of Mont-Dauphin, the stage destination.
this is the beginning of stage r130 from fenes to mount dolphine it’s 22.1k and 400 m up 900 M down I got to do this fast cuz I need to get to the intermarche that’s there the super intermar that closed at 7:30 p.m. so we got to get going yeah it’s not a trail in France or Europe if you’re not doing a little bit of road walking just kind of part of the deal so I made it to the inner Marsh I took a more direct route to here and skipped like 3 or 4 km of the trail and just Road walked in order to get here um I got everything I needed including some beer a steak some eggs that I just ate and um now I’m going to climb up to M do anyways we’re going up there it’s like a castle it’ be really cool if I can find some really cheeky place to sleep so going to go find out let’s do it and since I potentially could be sleeping in a castle I got some King’s bra cuz I thought that was fitting this is Mount DOL Theon and I’m going to storm the castle going to find somewhere to sleep up there if not I guess I’ll push on a little bit further even though I don’t want to I couldn’t imagine trying to fight against this Fortress just a vertical wall of 30 meters but now there’s a road so I’m going to take that hopefully there’s an entrance somewhere around here I mean I see my trail symbol on this sign but I don’t know if that tunnel’s open I guess we’ll find out I think I found my camping spot it’s going to be right there with that view now I just need to find somewhere to charge my gear for a minute well I can’t find any charging points probably because this place was built like hundreds and hundreds of years ago they really didn’t think about electricity so there’s like nothing outside but finding better and better campsites so definitely sleeping in this Castle tonight trying to forgot good morning y’all I had a great sleep this was my view um yeah so this is the end of uh section r130 thank you very much for watching this episode um if you like this episode please hit that like button if you want to see more content like this please hit that subscribe button it’s greatly appreciated this is Cav saying out until the next episode Peace
