Enjoy the ride and welcome to the fold. If you have difficulty going uphill even on slight inclines you can always switch to a 50T or 40T brompton chainring and even a 39T SRAM (130 BCD) chainring – 2 gears isn’t much but if you don’t need speed then the chainring solution is good enough.

(I thought I had posted the pictures and the following)
First multimodal trip to work hitting the trolley station to make up some time on the way to work.
and
First ride home. Actually to a friend’s to walk their dog.
Initial thoughts were:
– twitchy, but not too much. Started getting used to it fairly quickly.
– gearing reminded me of when I used to commute on a fixed single speed. My legs are going to get a work out. I’d been using my xc MTB to get do most of my points A to B rides, and was accustomed to riding lower gears and higher cadence.
– the fold is exactly what I needed for work. I love the compact fold for the elevator, and stashing under the desk.

Try it out and when you think you have achieved the right cadence remember to cut the chain to the correct length. With the current chain you’ll need to be a bit careful when you fold with a 44T chainring as it may fall off. The 52T chainring on the 2-speed is a lot bigger than the 44T. 52T to 50T (remove 2 links), 52T to 48T (remove four links) 52T to 39T (remove six links). Good luck
