so welcome back to the UK Bikefit YouTube channel and this is my new Pinerella Dogma X in my favorite color um not really this is Amy’s new Pinella Dogma X the new baby what’s it called panta so Panta means panther in Italian and I have this thing whenever I see someone riding a bike a pink bike or wearing pink on a bike I always say “Oh look a pink panther.” And now I’ve got my own pink panther so the long version is Panta Rosa which is pink panther in Italian but for short we just call a Panta right and the reason that you have this bike is because in five weeks time I’m going to try and cycle every stage of the men’s tour to France plus the transfers in between so it’s about 4,000 miles which is mental by the way like that is that is crazy am when you look at the like to Fr just doing the tour to France route that’s bad enough then you look at the transfers and isn’t there like a massive transfer on last stage as well yeah so the last transfer is like four is it 500k right 500 km but I decided this before literally before they announced the route I’d already decided I wanted to do it cuz I got inspired by Lackllham Morton and then yeah it’s his fault basically and then when they announced the route I looked it and I saw it said like the biggest the most amount of transfers has ever been and I was like oh I was like well I’ve already said I’m doing it now so I’ve got no choice but no turning back so you just got this bike yeah couple of days ago yesterday yesterday yeah and you just brought it in for a fit just make sure everything’s set up well for the for the trip just tell us like a little bit about did did you have anything to do with the design of the color or anything like that or would you chose it i chose it yeah yeah so this is a custom it’s like a my way one so I could choose whatever I wanted okay so the spec of the bike then so this is a Pinerella Dogma X tell me a little bit about the frame and did you choose that model or was it just the one so I’m awful with mechanics knowing things about bikes normally I pick a bike by the look of it to be honest with you but I know a little bit but this is going to go wrong so just bear with me so it’s an X because X is the endurance model and obviously I love endurance so that’s why I went for an X my old bike well I still have it it’s not old is an X7 so this is like an upgrade from the X7 to a Dogma the frame is pink know that i know this little bit yeah this is a X that’s for extra stability that’s an upgrade that’s not on the other bike it’s carbon pink what else do you want to know i’d love to know how much it weighs but I don’t h We’ll weigh it we’ll wait in a minute yeah yeah yeah we’ll go through the rest of the spec first cuz I know you’ve got so much to tell us about everything else yeah my husband’s going to be watching this oh God’s sake came um so this is a stem and it’s 110 mm long it is too long at the minute which we’re sorting needs to go to 100 it’s integrated correct hear that yes it is and it’s a arrow it is it is arrow stem it is for speed wheels the wheels are jaw C50s just read that off there they’re common and you can’t use tire levers on them because you can crack them okay so I’m going to struggle with that but don’t worry cuz the Princetons are coming but I can use a tire glider tire gliders which is what I use they’re really good i’ve seen them i never used one honestly the best thing ever yeah yeah cuz they don’t scratch your frame and they’re so easy and I can change tires with them without help so what tires are you running i’m running Panorasa Joros Agileist i know this 30s um I was going to go for 32s but I thought 30s would be fine whether I don’t know whether I need extra comfort but I am taking this bike and my gravel bike for to France okay so I’ll have two so different positions if I get any saddle saw or any issues I can change my position so I’m thinking keep these on this bike and put some 32s on the gravel bike but these tires are really good because I’ve once done I’ve done like up to 5,000 miles on the same pair of tires without puncture and I’m tubed not tubeless so sorry for the hate that’s going to come for that no hate for me i’m a I feel like people are so like you know when I say I’ve got tubes people are like “Oh you need to go tubeless.” They get so aggressive about it i’m like “Well I know how to change a tube and if tubeless went wrong I’d be Yeah I would know if tubless went wrong you’re putting a tube in yeah exactly so I might as well just go tube so that’s my How what’s the maximum tire clearance on this bike what’s the biggest tire you can put in i don’t have a clue but massive there’s loads of clearance clearance actually because you can go off road on it i think they can go up to like 35 40 mhm at least 35 sounds doable especially looking at that because you can that’s the thing with the ax there is the endurance so you can take them like on a bit of light gravel bike packing sort of thing yeah yeah yeah so yeah 30s are nice m I think 30s 32s on like a long endurance road rides great cuz you can run them at lower pressures so you get that comfort anyway and they’re not crazy chunky like you’re not going to be doing any off-road no not planned anyway no planned if you’re doing off-road things have gone wrong yeah things have gone wrong so we should be all right with with 32s for sure i am doing some cobbles though in Paris so Oh yeah as we just discovered yeah as we just discovered yeah maybe get your gravel bike out for that yeah definitely um group set Yeah sorry jes old bike yeah this is card is going to be annoyed me for that been going on about jewelry all blowing week saying how good it is and how it’s the best you can get because it’s lighter than the Altegra i do know something about this actually it’s lighter it’s more arrow because here it is all one you see in the other one it’s like holes in here so this is actually more arrow okay very little gain there without that it’s going to make massive difference when I’m doing 4,000 miles precisely without that I don’t think you’d actually like manage the the distance but with that it’s going to be easy it is so for sure um cassette it came with a 30 yes but I’ve changed it to a 34 but I might actually be making it even bigger before to France because on a long day with all the climbs I’m thinking I want to be able to spin and Yeah make it easier for myself but it’s a 12speed 1134 yeah and the on the front the chain ring which I now know what it’s called it’s an improvement on last year is a 5034 great so yeah same as same ratios as my other bikes it should be fine but I just think give myself a little bit more on the back we’ll just I’ll I’ll benefit from that on the long Yeah hard days like I said earlier you’re never going to think h my gears are too easy for me up this climb like you’re always going to want another gear especially after 4,000 mi when your legs have Yeah cuz I don’t want to walk i want to stay on the bike the whole time yeah so as big a set as possible on the back would be good saddle salotalia pro team edition pro team edition is it flight or fleet i go with flight yeah flight yeah it’s carbon i’ve This is a new one but I’ve been riding on this for when did I get this one like beginning of the year since January and it’s so comfy i love it so I’m happy with that mhm it’s light and it’s comfy and it’s what the pros use so it’s good enough for me and it’s not the endurance model because on the endurance model the thicker padding is Yeah it’s thicker it doesn’t work i I prefer a thinner pad yeah so yeah i think a lot of people do yeah cuz my dad looked at that when I bought the bike i thought that saddle looks really uncomfy i was like “No Dad it’s really nice.” Yeah yeah yeah cuz he thinks the thicker the better but I’m like “No no no often the opposite.” When I started cycling I should have seen the saddle I had it was like a cushion it was like that it was diva special was it it was it was from Halford yeah yeah we know the types i think everyone’s had one of those at one point in their life and then stuck like a gel cover over the top or something um cool any other specs about the bike i think we’re good what’s the bottom bracket spec bottom bracket spec i’ve got no idea me neither actually what does that even mean uh different uh brands can take a different bottom bracket standard so threaded press fit whatever as long as it rides and it climbs it’s like I’m happy and it breaks stops yeah not breaks not breaks as in break i mean you know brakes going downhill yeah it stops oh bro dan what is it oh 7.7 that was good you were so close yeah yeah it’s light jeez it’s really light and that’s with That’s with 30 mil tires yeah um bottle cages bottle cages everything um it’s pretty good it’s pretty good for for an endurance bike yeah I’m happy with that pedals as well power pedals they’re heavy power pedals are heavy deep rims you could definitely have lighter wheels so yeah can we talk about the other stuff that’s coming yeah so coming is it comes with Princeton wheels on and apparently when the bike was in the shop waiting to come to me the guy from Princeton was there and he saw it and he was like “Oh.” And then he said “Should we do some custom wheels?” So they’re going to do Princeton when the Princeton’s going to be like a pink to match the bike so I’m really excited about that that is cool that seems like Dan Bigum had some Princeton pink wheels when he was within Yos cuz that’s his color and they looked incredible on his bike so they’ll look insane on this bike as well i’m excited and then um after I’m not doing it during the trip now it’s after the trip i’m going to have white saddle white B yeah so I have got a white saddle and I did put that on when I first got it and then I was like “Oh I’m going to get loads of hate for having a white saddle and black bar tape.” And I was like “Oh maybe I should just put white bar tape on.” But then I was like “No.” Because told France is not going to come back white so I thought “I’ll stick with a safe black and then when I get back she’ll have a revamp.” Yeah cuz she’ll need a good clean after that and so will I so we’ll go for white are you cleaning the bike during the trip is Kyle on bike clean kyle is yeah the husband is on the bike cleaning duty snack duty bike cleaning mechanic cheerleader so Kyle is following you around in as like a support vehicle yeah for everything um and is he going to be doing some riding while he’s out there as well yeah so he’s not going to follow like directly behind me the plan is like in the morning have breakfast with him he’ll set me off he’ll meet me like halfway through the day feed me he’ll go to the wherever we’re staying motivate you yeah motivate me and then he’ll not every day but quite a few days he’ll ride out like 20 miles ride with me 20 miles to the end so I’ll have a little motivation to nice have some partnership at the end although depends if we’ve had an argument I might that might not motivate me i don’t know if you’ve had an argument if we’ve had an argument when you have the arguments when we have the argument you’ll stay away from me those days yeah and for charity yes so I’m doing it for shout which is a mental health charity it’s like a 24-hour text service so it’s a really nice one because I think when you struggle it’s hard to pick up the phone but it’s easy to send a text so I’m hoping to raise like at least 10,000 for them so nice is there a Just giving yes the Just Giving so we’ll put a link in the description down below if you want to donate to the charity and support Amy’s challenge which is insane go and head to that link and drop some pennies in there that would be very much appreciated that would be good feeling ready as ready as I can be i mean I’ve been following my training plan like what more can I do i’m the more it like gets closer the more I’m like just want to get it i just want to go now cuz I’m just thinking about it all the time um but yeah I just think I won’t give up unless I said to Kyle I won’t give up unless I like physically collapse off the bike so just I just got to keep going but yeah um and I’ll be motivated to see the pros at the end cuz I’m going to start a week before the pros and finish a day before them so I’m giving myself like six extra days to do the extra I think there’s an extra 3,500k or something so yeah what’s the total distance i don’t this is the thing i don’t 100% know the exact figure because I’ve got to wait still waiting for the GPX files okay from them and then I’ve got to do my in between bits but I know roughly it’s about 4,000 miles 4,000 mi and you know how much climbing no okay but I’ll find out soon we’ll leave that as a surprise i’ll find out when I get to France no I literally find out next week but I know I know roughly it’s going to be you know very hilly yeah i know that yeah the Alps isn’t known for it there’s the Alps there’s the Pyrenees you know there’s a lot mont Bonto yeah yeah all the flat roads yeah yeah all the good ones yeah cool um if you want to follow did you say there’s going to be a tracker as well yeah there’s going to be a live tracker so you can come if you’re out in France come and see me give me a cheer throw a snack at me any snacks welcome um so if you want to follow head over to Amy’s like Instagram and YouTube and everything i guess all the details will be posted on there at some point so you can follow along um but yeah can’t wait to see how you get on thanks hopefully I’ll survive

Awesome I’ve followed Amy for ages now and I’ve seen her bike fit videos with yourself, amazing support and setups!!! She’s going to smash the challenge👍
Pretty bike, driven by a pretty woman.
That’s a great looking bike! The colour’s not exactly to my taste, (I prefer something in Celeste 😉), but I can see why Amy chose it!
A one-hundred and
twenty-three inch gear? Won't get
much use. Go smaller!

No Pinarello is ever going to win a beauty contest no matter what colour it is.
A bike like no other, actually I don't agree. It's now a bike that is no better than the Chinese frames everyone roasted back in the day when nobody would buy a Chinese frame. Who is the aero design for anyway? Most of us don't get any of that benefit because we aren't fast enough. For me it's actually kind of sickening to look at in all honesty. I hear it has a control issue too experiencing wobble. Sorry Amy but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Sow's ears are pink too.🤣
Awesome
I am surprised Amy with the magnitude of this challenge and a history of hand problems you have not trained with aero bars as most ultra distance cyclists use them for the very long flat terrain you will encounter. The extra weight is out weighed by the comfort they lend. All that said i wish you every success you will smash it. Stay safe !
Amy is an inspiration. What a beautiful person.
That’s one nice bike Amy! Good luck on your race.
Good Luck in the Tour de France Amy! This bike fit was a good idea given how much time you will be in the saddle.
Only thing missing is pink hair:-)
The Tyre Glider saved me, I can't recommend it enough. OK, it is still hard work, but I got a tyre on and off again that otherwise felt impossible to do either even with decent tyre leavers.
Before Lady Malones starts her own "Tour of France",The Community will prescribe her intensive couch therapy sessions, just to see if she will get back on "track" !!! (become normal…)
Some of the good people – do you know frame size please – thank you!
No hate for tubes! Ain't broke, don’t fix….
wow Amy you are the most inspiring lady i know and one special girl your without a doubt the best thing ive watched on utube i cant get enough of watching your adventures good luck on your tour de france ride ill be rooting for you go girl 😊👍🚵
My old bike I had a selle Italia flite saddle, really liked that saddle, comfortable even after a long day in the saddle…
Bottom bracket should be an ITA Italian Threaded, as Pinarello clings to them.
What an amazing challenge you are going to undertake, I can’t wait to see all the behind the scenes of this great adventure. PS that bike is AWESOME and how wonderful of you take this on along with making it a fund raiser for a very good cause.
What frame size is that and how tall is Amy?
so sweet Race Bike!
super cool
Sorry but it is just fugly!
I was lucky enough to have one of these on hire on a recent holiday to Italy (Garda Bike Hotel, ftw!), and was absolutely blown away with how nice these ride. If not for the $25K AUD price tag, I would own one in a heartbeat. Sensational piece of kit 👌
Dommage que l'on puisse pas le commander en france !!
This is great, really enjoyed this video and excited to follow her journey. An inspiration as she is doing something that I’d love to do one day
