






It's an old-ish Hyper that I found recently the past year, but it's great for my camping and nomadic travels!
I've added a slightly longer rod i found on a stray bike in a ditch, but it still feels like it's too short, and hurts my legs after long periods of times, I've updated the seat to Blackburn seat, with a black burn gel cover but my butt hurts sometimes on longer rides, any tips will help!
How can I get larger tires on it?
Yeti sidekick bag holds all my bait, and what not, Lew's reactor is my daily reel for my rod, 50 pound yellow line is my keep on it, I hate when my line breaks, but i have some neon green stuff on the reel right now to finish off what was left of it, catch and cook video soon!

Just out of interest, why have you chosen to use a BMX for long distance journeys?
Also is the stick at the front for a camera mount?
That seapost would give Ryan Nyquist and Mike Hoder a run for their money. Taller bars might help. Maybe you could try bending that seatpost back a bit. It could weaken the metal, though. But, a BMX is not the best for longer travels. I used to ride mine for the 75 kilometer round trip to town regularly back when I lived out in the sticks. It sucked haha.
Having a ‘loaded’ rod under that much tension, sticking out on the front of the bike just seems like a recipe for disaster. This whole escapade just screams recklessness IMO. If you enjoy riding the BMX then ride it, but there’s not much you can do to make it more comfortable on longer rides. It’s just not made for that.
Have you tried raising the seat post and leaning the bars forward?
Taller bars for sure if your seat is that high. Go taller by a good few inches, bars come in all heights up to 10”+ so guesstimate what you need and find something that works. Just double check your stem clamp size, though I expect it’s a standard 22.2mm / 7/8”, occasionally on cheaper bikes they do differ.
Get a second hand touring bike.
