I have an older Twin6 Standard Rando frame with IS mounts and I’m about to buy some GRX flat mount brakes. Since I’m lacking literature on the older frame I have I’ve been using chat gpt for info. Chat GPT has led me to believe I can get adapters to mount these brakes. Now I’m having a hard time finding the actual adapter to fit. Should I avoid these brakes or is it likely there is an adapter. I saw the ASSolutions options but those are questionable if they will work.

Have you considered a Post-Mount brake? For example: [https://www.bike-discount.de/en/shimano-br-rs785-post-mount-brake-caliper](https://www.bike-discount.de/en/shimano-br-rs785-post-mount-brake-caliper)
Adapters from an IS frame to PM brake are easily available.
AS Solutions or use a post mount brake caliper. ISO to post adapters are reliable and easy to find and, to my understanding, GRX levers are compatible with Shimano mtb calipers.

For Shimano the MTB and road calipers are interchangeable, so using a mtb caliper with the road levers can be a good option. (wasn’t sure when you said you’re buying a brake if you meant just the caliper, or caliper plus levers)
