I have this shimano SM-CN-910-12 chainlink spare. On the side it says VI, on the original it says WE. On certain websites it says something else still.
Probably just a batch code, I’ve got 4 shimano 12 speed chains and they don’t have any of the same prints on the quick link

It’s probably just the position this particular piece was punched out of in the greater die making them, so if there is a problem, the manufacturer can tell which tool to look at for a problem.

The date code, shimano uses a 2 letter system. The V stands for 2023 and the I stands for September.
