Hey everyone,
This is definitely a rookie question but I’m working on an older Norco Mountaineer with under-bottom-bracket front derailleur cable routing, but there’s no cable guide under the BB shell—no plastic plate and no mounting hole either. I took off the old derailleur last year cause it was seized and didn’t both to pay attention to how it was originally set up.
What’s the best solution in this case? Stick-on guide? Zip-tied housing loop? Open to DIY or product recommendations that have worked for you.
Thanks in advance!

Holy smokes that’s some long chain stays.
Should have a thread there to screw a bracket in that the housing will sit into
You can get stuck on guides. I pulled a bolt on campagnolo one off an Italian once. So maybe you could get one of those.
When I converted my old tandem into a budget cargo bike and took out the middle bb I used two bolt on cable guides and a short length if outer to redirect the cable to the front seattube. As can kind if be seen [on this photo](https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/comments/1e5sfoa/it_would_seem_ive_been_dadpacking_unawares_for/#lightbox) worked fine.
Buy a guide and use jbweld to seat it, works really well.
