Walking tour of Greek island of Symi, until camera over heated

Our day trip to symi, rather long ferry ride from Mandraki Harbour old town Rhodes. Camera did well in the heat considering how hot it was.

of a fruit market going on here but not squash peppers chicken bananas pears pears size of them kiwi fruit tomatoes look at them look at the size of them yuck not a fan of the old tomato size of a nice scenery be behind me this way isn’t it fantastic there’s even that place up there with a dome top to it the orange dome and the yellowy walls there’s some nicely colored flowers and trees in bloom it’s really pretty here [Music] lady sarah’s getting a calendar for next year that we hang up in the kitchen see they’ve uh i was going to say i thought they may have raised the sea wall but i don’t think they have cuz as you know there’s no tide in the mediterranean well not one much much to speak of i don’t know if you can see at the top there there may have been some windmills definitely windmills there with no more sails of course because nobody uses wind anymore far too inefficient these days to use wind you might as well use an electric mill to mill your flour some of these old buildings here got all the windows shut to keep the heat of there i suppose i need nice classic of the bird we can’t see if i can get up here a big step yes i bought these unfeasibly large shorts in case we were going to a monastery because you’re not allowed exposure knees but they got something against knees in monasteries so but they’re not very comfortable they do ride down if you know what i mean whenever you raise your knee instead of riding up your tr up your leg they pull your trousers down i’m constantly having to re realign my trousers oh this stair is taking longer than i expected in there but it gives us chance to look at the uh sites doesn’t it of simei see there we go and that’s my trousers pulled down a little bit more cuz they won’t ride yeah i won’t be wearing these again oh did i tell you about the greek flag it actually represents their struggle to uh become free from the ottoman empire back in 1820 bit of a battle that went on for a few years some say the the blue represents the sky and the sea which is probably very true the nine stripes supposed to represent the verses of the uh freedom phrase that they had here’s lady sarah hello hello got a few got a a pen people didn’t stop using wind because it wasn’t efficient they just take not like the english windmills i don’t think where they could change direction so the wind if the wind only came from a certain direction they could only grind the corn to make their flower anywhere else fishing on the bar oh yeah it’s a big one oh that’s me for two that one no they’re much better off in the sea where they
