Nice specimen, brings back beautiful memories of cycling in the early to mid 70s

Very similar to my classic, which I love and have got rid of newer bikes, in favour of…

    New seat
    New cassette
Tweak handle bars and upgrade tape for a little bit of extra padding….

You can even upgrade your rims to 700c….

Without the need to change brakes….

    Or, are least, that’s what I did….

  3. I’m not a fan of down tube shifters. I prefer shifting gears next to my hand at the handlebars. Which is why I never got into riding road bikes as a kid. When I tried my dad’s road bike.

If I was to get this bike. I would have to upgrade it to Dual Control Levers aka Brifters. Where the brake lever and shifter lever are both integrated at the hoods. To make it rideable for me.
