Clean and greese the pivot bolt and the rest of the caliper while your at it.

  2. Cable and housing are new, but were they cut and set properly? I had this problem not long ago after replacing cables because I didn’t use real cable cutters and didn’t use a proper ferrule, so the cable started fraying very quickly

Make sure the 2 pivot bolts are tightened as well as what everyone else is saying. Mine was loose once and the spring deformed slightly causing a similar issue

  4. I had the same problem and I needed to clean and grease all the contact points. Mine were actually making a creaking sound and I followed the creak and dropped some grease and that was that. Good luck.
