My brake Callipers release a bit when I let off the brake but not fully.
The housing and cables are new maybe 2 months old., the calipers are the orginals and are 13 years old

Something in that caliper is too dirty to function properly, worn, or both.
Clean and greese the pivot bolt and the rest of the caliper while your at it.
Cable and housing are new, but were they cut and set properly? I had this problem not long ago after replacing cables because I didn’t use real cable cutters and didn’t use a proper ferrule, so the cable started fraying very quickly
Yeah it looks like they need a good clean.
i had this problem in the winter when water has gotten into the housing.
This is what I need to know
Make sure the 2 pivot bolts are tightened as well as what everyone else is saying. Mine was loose once and the spring deformed slightly causing a similar issue
I had the same problem and I needed to clean and grease all the contact points. Mine were actually making a creaking sound and I followed the creak and dropped some grease and that was that. Good luck.
