I created this ride on Google Maps, starting and ending at Bache Railway Station, then on to the Chester Millennium Greenway followed by a turn at Hawarden Bridge on to National Route 568 Wales Coast Path and finally another left turn on to the A568 back to Bache Railway Station.
Total Journey 15 miles.

okay I’m on the Shropshire Canal I uh got off the train at Beige and I’m heading towards the Millennium Greenway I think it’s called Turn right onto National Cycle Room 45 Then sharp left onto Chester Millennium Greenway Chester Millennium Greenway That’s it Sharp left on the Millennium Greenway National Cycle Route 5 [Music] Continue on Chester Millennium Greenway for 3/4 of a mile This video is going to be a circular route that starts where we’ve just come onto the green Millennium Greenway and uh do a sort of Uturn at Howard and Bridge I created this on Google Maps So I can’t be 100% sure that it will work So either way I’m on a long distance path and uh I’m adapting to doing these cycle paths because I’ve got a lot more in the pipeline that I want to do I’m going to have to get myself uh or pay for the subscription for the old trails or I think there’s another one called bike map Don’t know why it is but flies are attracted to my mouth Doesn’t matter where I go Might have to buy some sort of or use a bandana Don’t fancy using a bandana in the uh in the summer months [Music] Okay I figured out why um it said you’ve arrived I’m not used to using Google Maps so you’ll have to forgive me Anyway I’m a total beginner on this stuff So um cuz it’s in steps when it gets to the first cuz I had to sort of plot I had to look zoom in on the map and plot the um route When it reaches each section it says you’ve arrived It doesn’t mean you’ve arrived at your final destination So I uh I figured out why that wasn’t making [Music] sense It’s a nice day to do this I’m just hoping I can maintain some level of um cycling during the winter months cuz I’m not going to lie I struggle to get out the house Don’t know if it’s me age or what When I was younger I could go out in any [Music] weather Remember every time you’re there you will say you’ve reached the destination It just means I’ve reached the um next section At some point I’ll find a park or something and um stock us up to eat and drink I mean a 15 mile ride doesn’t really require much sugar than keeping you know your fluid intake up but I still want to make these rides a um an enjoyable experience and stop and enjoy the surroundings [Music] I love looking out at open views like that This is farmland as you can see This is the I love coming out into the countryside [Music] I can understand why longdistance cyclists do this Just gives you so much freedom And uh back on the path there there was a left turn that uh was pointing to a a cafe And uh if I come this way again which I probably will I’ll take advantage of the cappy Continue on Chester Millennium Greenway for one mile I’m on this bridge now It’s above a motorway What motorway it is And uh I don’t even know if you’re picking up the sound cuz it’s quite noisy here So uh still got a good bit to go but I’m enjoying it as you not a big fan when there’s so many trees like this cuz you you’re missing out on the views But then I get the impression that this used to be some sort of um I’m guessing of course but I’m wondering if this used to be some sort of rail x rail track or something cuz back way back there was black on which which was clearly or blon or whatever the I don’t know what the pronunciation is but um that definitely looked like a train station stop When I do stuff I want to be out in the sun when they have something to eat and drink In 200 y the destination will be on the right Okay so the destination’s on the right but I know I’m going left Or at least I’m fairly certain I’m going [Music] left Okay so me Google map tells me click for the next stop So when I get up here I’ll do just that [Music] Slide left onto National Route 568 Wales Coast Park Then turn left onto National Route [Music] 568 Turn left onto National Route 568 R89 Okay this is more like it on national route 568 for 34 miles I wish it was longer So yeah this is the and this is the chain So let’s say on here which I think leads back to the river G that goes all the way into Chester Ah this is [Music] crazy I’ll probably stop somewhere to head and use one of these benches and have a little breather I think I’ll uh Not this bench The next probably the next bench I see Let’s go Have a breather [Music] [Music] Yeah definitely remember Turn right on the national 558 Wales Coast Park Turn left on the National Res [Music] [Music] Turn left onto National Route 568 Wales Coast Park Continue on National Route 568 for 3 miles Oh that was clever Okay so hopefully somewhere down here is um a bench somewhere I can sit I’ll stop for a while Is this a bench ahead If there is I’m stopping And it is This is where I’ll have a breather have something to [Music] eat This is This is where I am I’m on the um national route 56 I think it’s 568 So yeah enjoying the ride so far Really lovely day And um in tend to do more of these I’ll do a few camps with them but what I will do is I’ll sus out where it’s feasible to camp and where it isn’t So as you can see I’m just uh sitting on me bench drinking me Coke I’ve just had a pie and I’m enjoying life on the I’ve got another 1.6 Six miles before the end of this section of the route I’m doing Brilliant practice It’s must have took a lot of [Music] work setting this up But you have arrived Well for me to go onto a road at the moment Kind of hope there’s a cycle path I might have to just go on the road The A548 [Music] Heat Heat [Music] [Music] round about it way [Music] [Music]
