This looks amazing. When I think about it for a mid sized City like mine this would make more sense then a metro. It would be cheaper and since we get a lot of rain would be a game changer for commuters.
I take the train almost daily through Zurich HB but do not live there. One day out of the blue this Stadttunnel entrance appeared (it was previously hidden behind boards).
I’m impressed by the tunnel, but even more amazed that a tunnel like that isn’t already full of spray paint tagging already. Are their teenagers sensible and kept busy? If so, I want to know more about how they managed that.
It would be so nice if we had stuff like this in London. There are plans to completely rebuild underneath Waterloo station with a pedestrian through passage, new entrance and more shops. Ive not heard them mention anything about bikes. It would be a gift of an opportunity for a massive bike park under there. I really hope someone has the wherewithal to design that in.
The EuropaAllee district is just wonderful. I used to live in Zurich but it was still under renovation when I moved out, now I regularly pass there for work and it's just too good, many restaurants and shops and offices and always lots of people walking around. It's the textbook definition of "streets are for people, not cars". Too bad I never have a bike when I'm in Zurich because I'd like to pass through the new tunnel just to say I did.
restricting bike access to the terminal is actually brilliant in a subtle way: I now life in a touristy area and tourist with bicycles often conflict with commuters, despite already having restrictions. By restricting the times when bicycles can be transported and not making it easy to carry a bike up, commuters do not take their bike with them every day and tourist are somewhat restricted but still able to take a train with their bicycle.
Well guess what Not Just Bikes. Here in America we just spent $4 billion on widening a highway tunnel and it will make traffic even worse. And my channel Not Just Cars will spawn there and cover it too.

What does this place look like during rush hour? Is that even a thing with bicycles? Bicycle gridlock? Bicycle road rage? 😛
If Dougie can't get his 401 tunnel, Toronto bikers will never in a million years get a dedicated bike tunnel 😅
It’s like if apple made a cycle highway
Am I only the one who thinks be a great zombie movie set

Well the Tunnel was planned as part of a cityhighway! Fortunately it was scrapped.
❤
This makes us feel zurig (sour)
W switzerland,… finally

is it going to allow Skateboards, E-Skateboards, push /kick Scooters, & E-push /kick scooters?
It even has haaientanden!
Okay, the tunnel is great. But I hope someone in Zürich has some paint, because all of this just looks very … Grey
Suezkanal Mannheim
… unvorstellbar bei DB.
Die Borelli Grotte aufbohren? Unmöglich mit der CDU😅.
Looks like a tunnel from half life 💀 but it's a great investment 👍🏻
You can do anything when you’re the banker for every dictator and criminal in the world. Bravo stupid Switzerland.
Emergency vehicles?
When I ask my city to paint a bike lane on a road that connects to two schools, they tell me that they have "budget issues"
In Nederland there are already several.
Switzerland is late 😢. In Zurich people still want to show off their big cars because they are mostly Russian…
Bro is texting and biking!
U know, whenever I think "but bicicles are tiring" I always forget e-bikes exist. .-.
As an American, and. Cyclist, I am in awe
So jealous. Aotearoa NZ is full America and no such infrastructure. Car only land

A central biketheft spot 🙂 so the Thieves don't have to search so long 😀
As a Canadian, our bike paths are painted white lines on the side of a main road.
Oooh, a great place for a run!!! Can't wait
I love this but something is oddly eerie about it
It's quite nice, but the speed limit of 20 km/h is ridiculous
We have also a nice (smaller) bike tunnel in Tübingen, Germany 😀
The weird thing about a bicycle garage is it's clean and quiet. I'm used to my garages being loud, dirty dark places full of danger.
Dang, as I was writing this my mind wandered into wondering what is the bike garage equivalent of Deep Throat?
i want to live there so bad. i love city bikes so much but they city i live in hates bicycles 😢
It was absolutely painful to cross Zürich HB before. The next tunnel is around 700 meters away, and crossing at Bahnhofquai is kinda suicidal.
The Speed limit around 12 MPH. Someone should post a fictitious bicycle cop chase scene short🙏🏻
😵💫🚲
