It’ll be completely fine as long as you make sure to true the wheel regularly

The general rule of thumb is 3mm of clearance (on both sides!) for road bikes, and 6mm of clearance for mountain bike tires.

These look like road tires – can you slide a 3mm allen wrench between the tire and the chain and seatstays? Looks like plenty of clearance to the seat tube, but I’d try and slide an allen wrench between them, too.

  3. Plenty of space, you could put some clear protective tape on inside of the frame either side to help stop any potential rubbing if your tires get obsessive mud build up (unlikely on a road bike).

  4. That’s just okay – but after a while I’d check to make sure that the wheel isn’t flexing and rubbing.

  5. You have miles of clearance. You could probably go to 47’s if you’re brave. Potentially even 50’s if this frame has sliding dropouts and your wheel isn’t currently slid all the way back.
