My buddy gave me this bike and asked me to tune it up for him, said it was an older bike. This was not what I was expecting to say the least lol. Bike looks like it was a really good bike back in its day. I’m going to replace the gear cables and housing, clean up the drive train, grease what I can, check the linkage bearings. The brakes still work flawlessly. The fork and shock are where I’m not sure I can do whole lot. I’m not sure how survivable they are, and I don’t think I have all the tools I would need for it. Any insight on this? Also, any thing else you think I should look over? And finally I know this bike is very dated, but is it worth putting a bunch of time into it to get it a good, safe, rideable state? Thanks!
