Picked up a used 2022 Domane AL2 with only 10 miles on it and gravelized it. I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth it is with only 35mm gravel kings. Still have a couple small tweaks to make but overall I’m very happy with this bike and I think it will stand up well for this sort of use. This bike is going to be ridden infrequently (stored in a strategic location close to good riding that I visit once or twice a year) so I opted for continental cross tubes that I put some tubeless sealant in. I figure this gives me to best option for reliable sealing with my use case. With 50psi it was still super smooth on my first 23 mile ride. I put some frame wrap on the downtube and other potential impact points to keep it looking great a little longer. Has anyone else gravelized one of these AL’s? I didn’t find many real world examples online.
