So basically my i’ve been working on my bike for a few weeks now and i thought today would be the last since everything seemed fine so far but it wasn’t. Before today the initial problem was that i lost a crank bolt after i replaced my sprocket so bought a pack and when i went to put it on, it wouldn’t quite catch. So i took the crank off to get a better feel and i realized the end of the original bolt had snapped off in the spindle, resulting in a blocked end, so i bought a new spindle. Keep in mind, the spindle i bought is the exact same as the one that came with my bike (cult devotion 27.5 silver frame) So today i put the spindle in and it fit fine and i put some lube in the bottom bracket and it was going smoothly until i went to bolt in the cranks when i realized that after both cranks were bolted in, there was space inbetween the crank and the bracket to where you can move the whole spindle back and forth. I’m 85% sure i have all the necessary washers and whatnot and the cranks won’t go down any farther on the spindle no matter how hard i try and it really pushed my to my wits end and i really just need help cause it sucks not having a bike to ride.
need help it’s really pissing me off

You need more spacers if the bolts on the end of your spindle are fully seated. If you but a bottom bracket, it usually comes with an assortment of different sized washers to fix this exact problem.
If you know your spindle size and can measure the width that needs to be filled, I may be able to send you some washers. You live anywhere near North Carolina?
Ps. Watch your chain alignment when adding spacers
Looks like you’re missing the large ‘cone’ shaped spacer that should be on the non-drive side.
It looks similar to the one behind your sprocket, but wider.
Look at a cult bottom bracket on Dans comp or whatever, and you’ll see the one that’s missing
Oh rad. I was raised in Paramus. Where at in Jersey. I have a ton of connections up there that could fix you up for cheap or free. Grove st bike shop in Jersey City is the best shop in nj
It seems odd that if that’s the same model spindle and same crank arms that the necessary spacers wouldn’t be whatever you took off there; is there a different baring ? I’m old. Maybe I’m defaulting back to my habitual American bb habits thinking of the old squeezed nuts
Spacer
It good your doing it yourself. It’s a learning experience. Next time it will be a little easier to fix.
Spacer issue!
Niceee we got the same shadow sprocket😛
You need more spacers.
Use hacksaw to trim spindle. Only cut one side so it doesn’t become unbalanced.
