Best cycling day trip from London?

bonjour i’m Alex from Muloko and this week I am taking you with me on my favorite day trip adventure from London i have 50 other riders with me five ride leaders and we are going to do the tour of the aisle of white let’s go [Music] morning getting staged right here we are in the passion wagon hi my name is Jackson and I was late this morning hi my name is Young this is my first coffee of the day hi my name is Steph i was I was first first arrived today hi my name is Carol and my cleats came off my shoe hi my name is Courtney and I’m a little worried about my bike on the roof yeah you’re right make me nervous and then we go on higher [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah I had Hello how are you morning good morning [Music] we’ve lost group one already we group two three four and five on the ferry group one’s gone you excited for your day yeah I am sun is shining it’s not cold it’ll be windy but but you’re going to be breaking that for us at the front turning left turning left what a place the roads are butter smooth the weather is amazing proper summer day on the aisle of white you need to come here this place is something else [Music] rip those nails they were nice you’re just a puncture [Music] this puncture is going to take forever now but there’ll be great vibes while we’re doing it okay the puncture is taking a little time to clear they’re just finishing off but the canister was doing something weird so they’re just back to the pump and I’m uh going to keep going with some people because Amy and Yan are very fast so they’re going to be able to catch us in the time all the groups have uh come to the front now so it’s nice it means we all going to get together at the same time at the cafe [Music] [Applause] so we are taking the climb to the needles is the most famous viewpoint on the island is uh stunning and this is a gorgeous I think 2K climb maybe with coastal views and switch bags you wouldn’t think you’re in the UK to be honest it’s a pretty special place [Music] [Applause] yes okay [Music] so group one and two have merged and they’ve absolutely cooked me my legs are on fire i think I’m going to stop to get some haribs in my face woo was so fun though it’s good when I’m being forced to push myself like this it’s what I want [Music] okay so we’re 65 kilometers in we just stopped at the spy glass a very interesting pup like by the by the beach with lots of pirates everywhere but food did the job it was nice we had crab sandwich fish and chips etc etc now we have another 45ish kilometers to go to the pub at the end we’re having such a glorious day is just the landscapes are unmatchable i genuinely think that that military road that we were on earlier that does half of the island on the south is one of the best roads in the UK so smooth not a single pothole the views on the coast it’s really great to be like so many of us but all split into groups because we reunite on the views we’ve reunited at the needles we now reunited for the lunchtop so yeah great to catch up see everyone and now the groups are going i am going to drop back to group um three because that merge of group one and two really did my legs knife and see a little bit more of like chill chat etc vibes for the rest of the ride and also want to ride with different people so I get to to see everyone so let’s go [Music] hello [Music] i’ve cycled 110 km with one clean [Music] highlight um a great lunch by the sea in the sun and great vibes and company how was your ride oh it was stunning so so smooth the tarmac so good highlights oh the views just like also like the weather was so nice how was your ride very good highlight of the day how’s your eyes very good highlight of the day and fish and chips highlights of the day the views for sure cute highlights of the day keeping up in group two oh highlights of the day ice cream and the sunshine and my new tan line oh hello highlights of the day lovely ride with Maloko amazing looking forward for the Brighton ride now yes and that was our day on the aisle of white i do really recommend that day trip from London it’s ideal but obviously from lots of other places in the UK it’s perfect for a day trip adventure you might also want to consider staying over for the weekend because there’s a lot of riding to do and yes today we’ve done the full loop but in the inside of the island you’ve got also amazing roads amazing lanes so staying over on the Friday Saturday would definitely be worth it i’ll give you a quick tip uh it can be a very windy place so I would recommend checking the weather forecast before you plan your route today we did the loop anticlockwise so we had tailwind all the way on the military road giving us a giving us a lovely push if the wind would have gone the other way around I would have changed the loop to just make it easier on you because the military road is the highlight of the ride I would say and you really don’t want to be fighting headwind the whole way you can take the ferry with white link from Port Smooth or with Red Finel from Southampton portmouth is half an hour crossing and Southampton is 1 hour crossing but they’re both equally great and
