[Music] baby I see my Yo YouTube what’s up and good morning to Neil Lemon the new subscriber Thank you for your support Neil You join me on a glorious English summer’s day I’ve had a day off work and I’m heading south to the coast for a little day off ride on me Johnny No Mates Lonesome It’s 9:00 in the morning It’s 22 degrees already Let’s go So we’re just arriving in the county of Devon at a place called Xmouth And I think just around this corner is the seaside [Music] I’m going to park up here in there Go on a nice seaside ride Look at that You need Spain on a day like this Look at that beach The problem is it’s only two days a year It looks like that Let’s go That’s a view Just started straight up 10% hill Just climbing up this bloody hill and now I’m coming back down here It was like a dead end and I’ve got the top Oh dear Not a good start Deon lanes Deon Country Lanes So I’m out on the Creo today I’ve got the range extender Even though I’m only going to do about uh 40 miles I’m going to use it today cuz I’m pretty knackered Why not i’m probably going to be on turbo for most of the ride but it’s on it That’s what it’s there for And it’s hot Really hot which is nice but butterfly So let’s see what the day gives us So Xmouth is about hour and a half south of Bristol on the English Channel Lovely beach seaside town And what I’m going to do is traverse along the coast to a couple of other little places Sidmouth and then loop back round to tie up with the uh river X I think estry back to X That’s the plan Wahoo’s having a meltdown at the moment Keep sending me the wrong way Ah cycle path now I need to X away Cool Oh this shade is nice and cool It’s meant to get to 30° today which is unusual in this country I’m not going to moan about it yet Green tunnel I think this is the electric bike riders manor around here Another YouTube channel I’m sure many of you have watched it Also a specialized creo rider Shout out to uh to Emmy if he’s watching Another bridge Beautiful down there Proper Devon Lake Oh so cool in there It’s lush Yeah I should say to everybody as well I sold my calff So after many years of good riding on that bike sold it to a colleague at work Darra So I’m sure Daryl’s out and about on it enjoying life So I hope he gets his money good miles out of it as I did Who knows what’s coming next little cycle path for a park Seen quite a few people on ebikes older people which is great especially on a day like this Yes So I’m just down to two bikes now The Specialized and the Ribble Can’t wait for it all day Flags are out coming Go There we are at Budley Sers to go from a sand beach to a pebble beach What is it about this in the water and it’s freezing where we’ve just come from in that heaven and the red cliffs [Music] This is good [Music] [Applause] [Music] Look at that Beautiful [Applause] changed over to handheld mode Get a better view So that’s a river Oh there’s a white bird Some I don’t know another one over there Whatever that is Looks stoified That goes out to see Budley Saltton So we’re going this way now towards Sidmouth or Sidmouth That heron bloody great thing Just flew straight in front of me Not that I was worried about it me and uh birds don’t get on So we’re back on a little cycle route again It’s very nice very quiet Just traversing a hill You can probably see it up there Lovely jobly Peacock on the roof Look at that Beautiful Absolutely stunning Just coming up I think it’s called Pen Lane Quite a long climb Got a bit of red on the wahoo Still climbing Peak Hill Road [Music] The truth you never wanted me [Music] Just had a rest at the top of this hill Now I’m going right That was a killer 20% Peak hill It certainly was a hill Take us down into Xmouth Not Xmouth Simba This one’s steep as well confuse Whoa Look at that Stunning So this is Sidmouth old Victorian seaside resort I believe there’s a hotel down there where the Queen Victoria used to stay This might be this one on the left in there I think Pretty sure Look at the cliffs Heat Heat Oh wheel spin Wet That was cool Flying out of Sidmouth now Deon’s quite hilly Up and down Up and down [Applause] I think I’m going the wrong way again Wahoo says I’m going downhill This is certainly up Yeah boys [Music] I don’t know what’s going on with Aahu I’ve just gone in a big loop I’ve just come down this road Oh dear Don’t know what’s going on Another climb Another time done Trippiest hilly ever This is a wicked route but if anybody’s going to use it Claire and John Jonathan be prepared to do a couple of backing up on yourselves So I think I’ve done it twice additional miles but the overall route’s brilliant Fairly hilly I think I broke the back of that now And it’s all downhill to the finish But it’s stunning countryside little villages Got to watch out for a few drivers down these lanes They don’t assume you’re coming Can’t beat this country when it’s dry hot and sunny I think this is coming up to Exit airport on my right Back on handheld mode Warm Pretty warm now Just about to go up another hill up towards Woodbury Common Diggers Rest Anyway where are we going wrong way Wahoo’s having a meltdown today I tell you Can’t cope with Devon What can I say got a bit lost again Was intending to go up onto uh Woodbury Common which is where the Royal Marine Commandos train Uh the Commando Training Center is just down the road in Libson Uh which is over that way somewhere But uh yeah I don’t know what happened but I done done another loop and ended up in the same village again Oh dear I don’t know what’s happened today but I think we’re back on track again Probably in the last quarter of the ride all the lanes look the same You think I’ve been here before somewhere but yeah all good Oh it did take me on Come on That was a killer climb It is really hot Oh big views Oh woo Using the battery today So that golf course there was built by Nigel Manel Formula 1 and Indie champion when he used to play a lot of golf Used to live around here Very good golfer I believe he missed his card for the European tour by one shot in the Q school Uh they used to have one of his cars I think in the clubhouse there but I think he’s sold it now So yeah Now down this lane is a campsite that our very very good friends Janet and Mark have got like a chalet thing But I don’t think they’re going to be there today But you never know But look at the view Whoa I think this is it here Castle break Wonder if they’re in tube today Here we are Say hello They were in They were in Yay Who’s that who’s that that’s Rodney That’s Rodney This is Rodney This Rodney Yeah that’s our new Rodney And the other one That’s Harley And I don’t know where the other one is Oh he’s gone on Where’s Harper harper Harper Good Well thanks for topping me Water up Harper That’s all right Down for a weekend Don’t need to act now All right You’re on national YouTube Yeah This is round the world Mine I got people that talk to me from Australia Tim from Melbourne Hello Tim Melbourne This is so weird Scott from Texas Hey Hey Scott All right We’re in Xmouth just outside little place called Woodbury Xmouth UK rather than Xmouth Australia There is an X and in America I think There you are Yeah They to me water up Sweet That was nice seeing Mark and Janet Lucky What a day they’ve got in their van Anyway let’s get on back down the hill This is the Commando Training Center up here on the left Royal Marines are an elite fighting force This is where they train to get the coveted Green Brow Tough bunch of lads Do not want to mess with them Actually part of the Royal Navy not the Army Tough cookies It’s the river Excestry Going to follow that now all the way back to Xmouth About four miles back to the car What a cracking day It’s where the Marines train the assault course The bottom filled assault course looks a bloody nightmare to be honest with you That is the station Limston station where they all get off on their first day The sergeant major waiting for him on the uh platform Come on you horrible [Music] Here [Music] we are back in Xmouth Absolutely beautiful day Stunning Bit of wind now but a very good ice cream shop in there Whoa it’s windy here All the van lifers and we’re back 3 hours 46 nearly 47 milesi I’m pretty sure the route was meant to be 38 So that tells you how many uh detours I did and 3,400 ft of climbing That was a brilliant ride but a pretty tough ride to be honest I’m knackered now Anyway I hope you enjoyed it Hope you enjoyed the seaside If you did please give it a like and subscribe and I’ll see you on the next installment of the Easy Riders Don’t forget if I can do 47 miles on me bike at 54 years of age and 15 stone so can you So get out there and get on with it Lers

I thought you may have bumped into Harvey !! I am originally a Devon lad, but more Plymouth way. I have done a few sportives around that way and the hills are brutal and comes one after the other. No issue for the Creo. If you are looking at another Devon ride, the very best is N27 from Plymouth to Tavistock, gentle climb to Dartmoor with epic viaducts and tunnels.
Stunning mate ☀️☀️😎🚴
Hi Chubs, what a lovely day. Great you got Friday off. 22 degrees that's a hot day for you. My dad had a caravan down that way in Seaton. Beer is nice too a small fishing town. Also use to stay at Lyme. Years ago I took my small inflatable from Beer to Budley Saultation. Sidmouth is nice too they use to have a festival there each year. Good to see you out down the south coast. Nice video Chubs, glad your having nice weather. Remember there were some gardens there could Connort gardens, right by the cliff top. All the best for now Timmo❤.
PS Chubs, thanks for the mention on this video and from your friends. Nigel Mansell also used to live in Alcester Warwickshire, my dad met him once, he had some bees not far from his house. Glad you managed the 30 degrees Chubs and 46 miles well done. Your still young Chubs, I'm 5 years older.Bye for now, say hello to Rusty Nails ❤.
Thank you for the video. Just what I needed, a bit of relaxation after a day of looking after Grandkids. Well done in the heat and all the climbing.
There's a really nice ride from the Quay at Exeter, all the way on the cycle path to either Exmouth or Dawlish (the other side of the river).
I like your friends in Exeter, they look as if you could enjoy a cold beer 🍺 with them
