Hey guys, I am Max and I ride mountainbikes for about 2-3 years now I currently am using a ghost Kato 4 2017 and it is time for me to upgrade to a proper trail bike since this bike is holding me back.
I've looked around and found a deal on a new cube stereo one22 HPC ex Carbon'n black. I am wondering if the 2023 frame design isn't too old at this point.

I've already tested this bike and size L feels the best because M feels cramped with not enough reach and with xl I feel like I am riding a xc bike with a long stem.
For context I can purchase it for about 3000 euro with all accessories I need.
Thank you all in advance for recommendations and knowledge you shared.

What kind of trails do you ride?
Cube has failed to update their geometry for a long time. It’s basically a heavy XC bike. 67° headtube angle is not suitable for a modern trail bike IMO. If you dig the bike go for it, it has great components. But if you’re really looking for a proper trail bike you might wanna look for something else.
For what you want to do, look at a Canyon Spectral or Specialized Stumpjumper 15. Both are solid trail bikes that would definitely fit your styler of riding as you described
Guys, I know now that the geometry of the bike is not good for trail riding. But remember the parts are good and I am also doing long xc rides of like 45km which takes about 2,5 hours on my current xc hardtail. I have also seen the stereo one22 blackline slx with SRAM X0 AXS drivetrain and rockshox pike select+ charger 3.1 rc2, magura mt thirty, fully carbon frame , and 65° headtube angle and 12.5kg total weight. If that is not better than I’ll probably get the yt izzo because it looks so damn good but weighs about 14,3kg which is heavy my man but IG I’ll live with it.
