The shifting speed is pretty damn fast. A ton of adjustability on the shifting levers. Anyone thinking of upgrading it was totally worth it, old drivetrain was XT I just upgraded the deraileur and shifter.

Not hanging about! I haven’t even seen it yet and I work in a bike shop 🤣
In my opinion the only reason run XTR is if someone else is paying for it lol.
New XT is the better option for those that buy their own gear.
No brakes? The new enduro levers are interesting.
I’m a Shimano fanboy but the pinkbike review of this vs the transmission didn’t seem very favorable.
I’ve ridden a bike with the transmission and it was awesome but I’m way too cheap for any of it. Cables work just fine.
