Hello, I'm currently (still) looking for a road bike for training and taking part in my first triathlon. I came across this offer for a second-hand 2014 BMC TimeMachine TMR01. Here is the description:
BMC TimeMachine TMR01 2014.
Frame in mint condition, can run cable or di2.
Campagnolo Centaur 10spd groupset with Praxis Turn 172.5 crankset 52/36.
50mm Carbon deep section clinchers with DT Swiss 240 hubs and Sapim CX-Ray Spokes.
Tubeless ready. Wheels are very light and stiff and run true.
Full carbon one-piece bar and stem, 42cm wide.
Fizik Arione VSX Carbon Rail Saddle (minor damage to leather).
The frame size is 54 and I'm 172cm tall. The ask is around 1.2k euros, but I think I can negotiate it down a fair bit.
I would love to hear the opinion of people who know more than me on the topic, specifically on:
- What do you think would be a good price?
- Is it a good idea to get this as my first road bike? I'm aware that the geometry is rather aggressive
