Torup Castle is a historic castle located in Svedala Municipality, Scania, southern Sweden, approximately 15 kilometers east of Malmö. Constructed in 1537 by Görvel Fadersdotter, a prominent landowner of her time, the castle was originally intended as a residence for her son, Nils Ulfstand, who tragically died young. The castle reflects a rich Renaissance architectural style that was developed during significant restorations from 1602 to 1630, which shaped its current appearance.
Torup Castle is characterized by its three-story brick structure that forms a square layout. It features an octagonal tower in the northwest and a round tower in the southeast.
