I fractured the left side handlebar of my H31 integrated cockpit a few weeks ago. Circumstances were fairly benign, going somewhere 12-15 mph across a moderate heaved concrete joint in the trail. I’ve been back through since and there is nothing remarkable here, less than a softened curb, possible a 1 inch bump. I pass over this spot every commute.

I’m heavy ish, but in bounds of the bike. 200lb. No panniers, backpack with work stuff and a lock, call it a load of 215. No crashes on this bike.

Why did it fail? Is it common to these bars? I heard a loud crack and a few more over subsequent concrete joints as it happened. I assumed damage from the sound. Pretty sure I was on hoods at the time. Canyon was completely unhelpful previously when the seatpost was chronically slipping, so not sure I’d get anywhere with them. The failure looks like it failed in torsion to me.

I’ve looked and it appears the replacement is unavailable. Any suggestions? Something that fits like this, possibly a touch less reach and a bit wider would work too.

I was able to very carefully get home by avoiding putting any weight past the break. I could feel where the break was, by a profound soft spot under the tape. Luckily it didn’t fully come apart while weighted.

The bar is H31 width 420 length 90 reach 70 drop 128, the bike is Inflite CF SLX 9.0 in side medium.

It’s been used for recreational road riding and paved commuting with a bit of “gravel” roads and trails, the type that anything can go on.
