Looking to get into a bit more aggressive trail riding here in Ontario, Canada. I’ve been on a 2016 KHS Aguila hardtail for a while now and ya it’s a decent XC rig, but the 100mm fork just isn’t cutting it anymore. I tend to ride a fair bit of techy stuff, with a mix of flowy singletrack, rock gardens, and the odd black-rated downhill line thrown in for good measure. Basically after a full-susser that can handle a bit of everything, ideally under $1500 Canadian. Any recommendations would be well appreciated. Happy days everyone.

  1. I have seen some nice 2015ish kona process bikes gor for around 1g cad. I think they look pretty good but I’m a noob

  2. I’d buy none of these. Either save up for a modern full suspension or spend $1500 on a hardtail with modern trail geo like a rocky mountain growler(I think they’re on sale for $850 usd which may be in your budget).

The evolution of bike geometry over past 10 years changes how they ride so much, I wouldn’t even consider something more than 5 years old for a bike these days outside of pure xc.
