My freehub body is broken and I can't find the right spare part. The freehub body only says "Micro Spline" on it. The hub itself is branded "Ghost" (it's probably an OEM hub).

My bike is a Ghost Riot Trail Essential AL 2022.
The hub specs:

Boost spacing (148 mm wide)

12 mm thru axle

Micro Spline freehub body

6-bolt brake rotor mounting

Cassette: Shimano SLX CS-M7100 12-speed

I would prefer not to replace the entire hub if I can find a matching freehub body.

Does anyone know which exact freehub body I need or if there are compatible replacements for this OEM hub?

  1. On a boost (148 × 12 mm) rear hub that takes Shimano’s 12-speed Micro Spline cassettes you really have two routes:

    1. Genuine Shimano Micro Spline bodies

Shimano sell standalone Micro Spline freehub bodies (you just swap them onto your existing hub shell and end-caps). The two most common are:

    FH-MT410 body (Shimano part Y3TB98000)

Originally fitted to Deore MT410 hubs

    Supports 12-speed Micro Spline

Works with 148 × 12 mm boost spacing via the standard Shimano boost end-caps

    FH-MT510 body (Shimano part Y3TB98010)

    A slightly beefier alloy version

    Same interface, same boost fit

Both of these will slot straight onto any “Shimano-style” freehub driver with boost end-caps. You’ll just need to reuse (or re-install) your 12 mm through-axle end-caps.

    2. Third-party / licensed replacements

Shimano licenses Micro Spline to a handful of hub-manufacturers, so you can often get a freehub body from:

DT Swiss (Micro Spline body for their 350 or 240 ratchet systems)

Mavic (on their latest Crossmax wheelsets)

    Industry Nine, Onyx, Hope etc.

These all share the same spline profile, but only fit onto their own proprietary hub internals (star-ratchet, click-box, etc.), so this only works if your Ghost OEM hub actually is one of those guts under a Ghost shell.

    How to be sure

    1. Pull off your old body (12 mm axle end-caps slide out, then the freehub body simply pulls off).

    2. Look for any tiny stamp on the driver (Shimano, Novatec, Joytech, DT…).

    3. If it says “Shimano” (or is un-stamped), you can safely order the FH-MT410 or FH-MT510 Micro Spline body from any Shimano dealer.

    4. If it says DT Swiss (or Industry Nine, etc.), buy the matching DT / I9 / Onyx Micro Spline body for that hub.

    In practice

Most Ghost “OEM” hubs are re-badged Novatec or Joytech, but use Shimano-style bodies. In that case you’ll be able to drop in the Shimano FH-MT410 (Y3TB98000) body, reinstall your boost end-caps, and bolt your SLX CS-M7100 back on in seconds.

If you want to play it extra-safe, you can always order a genuine Ghost spare part (part #81009152 for their factory 12spd hub), but in almost every case a Shimano Micro Spline body will do the job.
