and so the queen stage of the tour of Switzerland destination Kalanka four category 1 climbs an altitude gain of just shy of 4,000 m to be contended with a memorial to the fallen Gino Mada meant an emotional start but also some dramatic racing up ahead they set off and we got ourselves an impeccable breakaway that took this on it was a possibility of taking the Mountains jersey on this day alone and it was just too much to resist for some very strong riders who headed off up the road the final loop at the end of the day was going to be the ultimate test two category ones sandwiched together plus a unique finish line we couldn’t wait just look at that sawtooth profile everyone knew this would be pivotal and so it proved to be up the roads Poil Bao the old stager from Barah Victorious joined by Neielson powerless the American alexander Blasoff would been so strong fortunat King in the mountains from the Jirro ditalia and Javier Romo well they were doing their level best it seemed to be in a cord for Blasoff to take the mountains points he duly moved into the mountains jersey the chase was being invoked by UEIE team emirates behind and in fact the more that they pushed on the tougher this was for absolutely everyone 64 km to go we still had two huge tests to be contended with the downhills almost as important of course as the climbs themselves get it wrong out here and it was going to be reflected in your results at the end of the day well with a handsome lead Roman Gregoire got himself back into contention the day prior how would he cope not only with the breakaway up the road but also mainly of course his rivals for that coveted golden jersey were circling around him a pinch point to get onto our final test that had to be completed twice before a secondary road would take us to the finish line and they were sort of looking at each other but the gap was coming down just under 50 seconds and the man in the black jersey Xiao Almeida victorious the day prior second the day before that was certainly the strongest man out there as for our trio who pushed on they ba was starting to struggle right now blasoff looked handy but the drive behind was for those who were looking for stage wins felix Scal put the Katherine Agamondial on the front meanwhile the golden jersey have been tagged off the back working very hard van Malawas his teammate but Roman Gregoire looked to be struggling what about those else who were further ahead towards the GC like Vocal indeed like Alfalik well they were all part of the same group and they wanted of course to stay with it but Almeida had other ideas he kicked on in the black jersey left indeed most of the other contenders behind him only Oscar only it seemed was capable of staying with him meanwhile the punches were raining down of course on Roma Gregoire and the gaps were just becoming huge fishes out there still out front Lassoff rolling over the line to take the penultimate test with Po Bela but look at the gaps only 12 seconds at this point with 19 kilometers remaining to the black jersey of course of Almeida and look at the gap between him and the golden jersey the leader jersey a minute and 50 at that point well the gaps ebbed and flowed but one thing was absolutely constant throughout and that was the desire of Shiao Armeda to get off and up the road staying with him for much of the day Kevin Bulan for Arca B&B hotels it was going to come down to the margins on the final climb itself well there was reatherings here the white jersey part of this group as others managed to tag back on the likes of Ben O Connor found himself once again within the front likes of contenders alfalite also there on himself and of course Shiaoa Alfalipe another black jersey but the training kit of Chudro cycling he’s given to doing this explosive turns of panache on went with him and then the questions were being asked behind and of course Almeida it was that pushed on just got a marginal gap on Kevin Vlan wearing the white young riders classification jersey he ultimately was to be left in the wake and it came to a two-up sprint at the front no more breakaways but Oscar Onley decided to come through at the very last could he possibly have the margin at this point it looks like Almeida would come back around him the battle for the line only had been third two days ago second yesterday and today he got the win it meant 10 bonus seconds went to Onley six bonus seconds went to Almeida gal came across the line for a fine finish and then of course the clock started to count back as to who indeed would lead the race kevin Vocalan had a target time of around about a minute and 20 but he came to the line to secure the overall lead but in the wake of Onley and Almeida who finished ahead of him takes the day taking the lead of the race vocal Roman Gregoire shipping over six minutes so only super win i made her in second place felix Gal Vocal Ricky Tel Vanilda Alfleet Kea Gross Hartner was in the frame as well chapo to the Kelso Comet but what about the lead of the race kevin Vula leads ahead of Julian Ala Fleet by 29 seconds shia is now on the podium 39 seconds in Aras only up to fourth can Vocal hold on two days of road racing plus of course Sunday’s time trial he might have just taken the title but Ala is on his case and that goes on tomorrow it’s a lumpy day should be one for the sprinters the breakaway may have an option especially after so many of the first men will have suffered through the high ground stage six beckons then eight in total friday Saturday Sunday a long weekend for you to enjoy and us to marvel at no day is easy on the tour to Swiss but this one is far from certain let’s see how they go tomorrow shall we

Vlasov 🇷🇺 💪
really bad production this time guys.
Damn if there wasn't a slight right turn Almeida would've took it. UAE got most of their riders in peak form for the Le Tour.
Possibly the most nonsensical commentary I have ever listened to.
Horribly rushed and composed highlights. Impossible to follow whats going on.
'Explosive turns of panache????' – WTF does this guy drink?
Great win for Oscar Onley !
Great day for Oscar Onley Fans!
Great commentary ❤
Nadal went on to win this match.
Enough with the cool edgy comments on the commentary or coverage already.. you like LR, we get it. Its either this or nothing, so what do you want?
